Never used Adams products, have used a couple of Chem Guys products, like what I have used from CG. CG is priced more reasonably for me.

But as others have said, you really will be better served by mixing and matching.

Good luck.

Jim

What kind of "system" are you looking for? Are you wanting something to just clean and wax your car or are you wanting to delve into paint correction? I've NEVER had an issue with buying CG products, straight from them. They've always treated me well and added products in if they screwed something up. They even let me apply a "freebie" to my next order because I forgot to put in the code. That being said, I can't recommend EVERYTHING they have. I like their soaps, detail spray (especially V7), and 50/50 wax. I just acquired a bottle of Blacklight so i'll see how that works. Places like autogeek, autopia, DD, and some others allow you to have one stop shopping. They offer NUMEROUS brands and products, minus Adams. Adams is the only place that carries Adams products.

Most "kits" are filled with some things you want and others that aren't needed. In most cases, it's better in the long run to piece it out. Tell us exactly what you're wanting and we can help you. There is no "best product" out there. There are not so good ones, good ones, and great ones. What I like and recommend may not be what others do. It comes down to a lot of preference.

While my opinion has me purchasing Adam's products, I don't take away from using the Meguiars Ultimate line of products either.

If you go to the Meguiars website, they have a numerical step process you can follow which may help your system. They tell you what product to use in what step based upon their numerical number. Plus you can get their stuff from your local auto store and it doesn't cost a fortune.

Step 1 Wash

Step 2 Clay

Step 2 Compound

Step 3 Polish

Step 4 Wax

Step 5 Maintain

While they may seem cheaper, they are in fact more expensive than many other better products. Their ultimate line is their top tier enthusiast line and is ok at best. Ultimate compound/polish leaves a LOT be desired. Yes they will work but you have to work it A LOT to get good results. That means it's costing you more product, along with more time and energy. Thinking about a long couple of days of polishing my car isn't how I want to blow my weekend. Better polishing compounds like FG400 will do the same job in less than half the time. Yes, it really is that good. Their detail spray is quite expensive when you compare the price to the good stuff by the gallon. Their paste wax isn't too bad but it's longevity is the pits. That means you have to wax it more often which again is more product, time, and energy. Their wash I actually like.

This pertains to their ultimate line. They have a professional line that has some good polishes in it. M105 and 205 use to be the standard but now there are very good alternatives that do the job just as good, if not better, and safer. Their professional line is also priced about the same as others.

You could just go to Amazon and get all of your things in one place, relatively simple. But if I had all the money to spend I would just go with Adams and buy their 900 dollar kit. Expensive, yes. Worth the money and you would be set for life, besides detail spray. You can never get enough of that stuff.

Adam's products can also be found on Amazon.....

I would love to give their detail spray a try, but I just can justify almost double the cost of what I am currently using.

One day I will probably give them a try, everyone seems to love their products.

I have decided that I am going to start off with Adam's, their customer service is OUTSTANDING and Nick has been amazing answering my questions. After doing some research I found that it's a good quality base for a novice like myself, I can add items as I gain experience and confidence. Thanks to everyone for your comments and advise. I'll post pics of my progress when I start.

Adams is a great product, but somewhat over priced. They do have great customer service. I was first introduced to them at C5Fest2 in Phoenix, and have been using them since. Dylan and Ashley gave me a quick tutorial on how to use their products with the PC Polisher, as I had never owned a polisher. The color coded system makes it easy to detail. Good Luck, and I hope it works for you.

I used Adam's exclusively for several years but recently swapped to using almost all of the products on CD07's list which includes items from multiple brands (including Adams).

Adam's does some products extremely well (APC, Detail Spray, etc.) But you will be hard pressed IMHO to find better polishes than Menzerna. Chemical guys has the best glaze I have used etc.

Bottom line, do yourself a favor and be open to using multiple brands. I am glad that I did!

I am in the Adams camp for sure. It would be the best idea to start with one of their super detail kits (Ones with all the steps, washes, waxes, applicators, towels etc) But I like most others did not have the ability to drop 800+ at once. since I have started with adams im sure I am way over that mark now. But I love their products. #1 reason MADE IN AMERICA... #2 products work great and smell great.

Adams as a company is doing it right... following their facebook and instagram you will see that they care about their customers and interact with them fairly often. Mystery boxes are fun! They do a lot of deals, specials, contests and tons of how to's. There may be some better products out there... but I wont be looking for them. I am not a master detailer nor care to be. But when im done using the Adams products, my car looks brand new.
