Yeah, the 3M tape. I wonder how well that holds up through hot/cold cycles if you drive the car year round?

It is as good as all the letters and emblems that come on the car, they are all held on with tape. And they stay on for the life of the car.

What did you use to cut the shape out?
Can you post a closer view of the edge near the door? You said you put it an additional 1/16 forward, but it looks flush. So if you had not added the 1/16 would it have been in the crack?
