No. I don't know for fact. In fact, I think the V8 (unless a Gen V) will get 26mpg's, but will be under 30K and will for sure have over 400hp. |

I wouldn't care if gas was $10/ga. and my Camaro drank a gallon every 5 miles. Hell, the `77 Chevy Longbed I built got a whopping 7mpg if I was at idle or all the way in the floor. It's all about an assload of Chevy V8 power!!!

I live 3.5 miles from work and it would be considered City driving all the way. Most places I go other than work are a mix of 50/50 City/Highway within 15-20 miles away. And only once or twice a month do I go 30+ miles away. (In 3 months I only put 1250 miles on my car...) Gas mileage isn't a HUGE thing for me due to my not going a lot (though I'm sure I'll want to go for a few drives when I get the new Camaro), but I still don't want to spend a fortune on gas. |

you can't have a Camaro without having the V-8. The V-6's were only made for non-true Camaro fans only looking for a pseudo, entry-level sports car that mimics the real thing--people that were more concerned about gas mileage than performance. Don't get me wrong, you can have great power with a V-6, but you'll never get that amazing sound and feeling like you would from launching with a V-8 under the hood and a killer transmission to make it go!

And yes, I had a V-6 way back, but my love for this car has grown tremendously over the years.

(NOTE: this is a genuine apology to all those who don't care V8 or V6 because I intend to keep 'discussing' this point on behalf of our V6 buyers around here -potentially me-, and because the 5thgen is going to change that "V6's are fake Camaros" stigma.) |

Even the 4th gen V6s had more power than ALL the 305 V8 Camaros from 1970+ and as much as the 350 when the 3rd gen Camaro first got it.
Probably not as much torque and not with the same sound. It does not make since to say a 2010 300hp 3.6di V6 Camaro owner is somehow less important or not a true fan, compared to a 1987 IROC-Z owner with about 225hp; or Even the 3.4 V6 with 200 hp compared to a 1981 150hp V8 Z/28 owner. Horsepower wars should be waged against the mustang/ challenger not V8/6 wars in the Camaro camp. Love the IROC-Z and 81 Z/28... no offense... just my .03 cents (inflation)

You're gonna have to raise that to 4 cents if gas prices keep going up.
