Just be very careful with the pins. It isn't too bad. Also don't drain your battery like I ended up doing. I'm hoping the charger I borrow today fixes that.

This is my first radio install ever for reference.

Was it hard? No. Frustrating? Yes. I think it was more the 90• Florida heat and my car has been apart for a month and I just wanted it to be done. If you go between the video and word docent you should be fine. I saw ofer updated the word doc so hopefully it's more helpful as a few things weren't really clear in the original

If I'm messing with anything electrical or if it requires having the doors or trunk open for extended periods I remove the battery Negative terminal. If I need power I head to the trunk and slip it on loosely until I've done what I need to. Rinse, repeat.

I did mine with no issues at all, I DO have a 2013 dash so I didn't have to do any trimming for the blue wire. I can see where this install may be a bit overwhelming if you don't have the right tools. If you run into troubles post here, that's what the forum is for...

That part wasn't bad either.

I actually used a spade bit in my drill, an exacto knife and a sanding bit meant for dremel to trim the dash. It's an unseen portion of the dash so a rough looking cut wouldn't bother most. Mine turned out to be clean.

(I couldn't figure out how to change the heads of my borrowed dremel)

The other trimming of the shift bezel seems like it can be skipped for 2011 and up just based on replies I have seen here and my own personal experience.

I just need to figure out the dremel so I can get the back up camera in.

Hardest parts are unlocking the connectors in my experience.

This is a great tip and something I normally do. Luckily I was successfully able to restore my battery.

Weather, Movies, and Gas Prices do not work in Canada :(.

Nav thankfully does.

This was not a very difficult install thanks to my buddy Veesiks! A couple questions I have:
  1. The pin on the green wire to the HVAC broke so I did not connect it. Any idea what this does? Am I going to have issues down the road?
  2. I have to unplug and plug back in my USB each time I turn on the car in order to get it to be accessible from the Mylink. Any ideas to correct this?
  3. I seem to have most of my XM Channels, but not all of them. ANSWERED. Called XM and paid $15 to move my account.
  4. I connected my iPhone to Mylink via Bluetooth, and have Pandora One subscription and play it from my phone, however, I cannot for the life of me get it to activate on the Mylink. Any ideas?

If you have free xm trial you don't get all the stations. You get around 50 as a trial

The other questions i can't answer

Green wire is, I believe, for the Nav to work properly or something to that effect. But it may be why you're needing to unplug the USB?
XM has a free listening from May 20-June 2. Like flyer08 said, you only get limited stations. If you call XM you can get everything for 90 days, just tell them the dealer installed it.
Not sure about the Pandora, I don't use it. Sorry

Ofer and/or the guys at Gen5DIY will be able to help tomorrow if you give them a ring.

Thanks. All finished up now. Only issue i found is when i do my settings. If i balance to right, left speakers work. Balance to left the right speakers work. Not sure why but guess not a huge issue since i dont usually adjust left/right

This is what my back up camera is producing for a picture. Black and white, not centered.

I hooked up my n64 to the video input to see if its a problem there and it checked out to work fine so it's a problem with the harness or camera after that point .
