Well I have only had the car for a week and it's done nothing but rain here. But I'll still give my impressions vs. STI. So there are both great cars and serve two different purposes. I think the sti was better at low speed tight cornered back roads. The 1LE is better as a highway monster and good at high speed fast sweepers. Now as far as daily drive ability the 1LE is so much better. I drive 80 miles a day in my car so I do want certain comfort features. The 1LE wins in every category. Also cruising along at 1500 rpm beats 3500 rpm everyday. Now while I will miss the sti I give that car major respect because the way mine was modded it would easy turn 12.5 - 12.8 consecutively. So with a bad driver in the sti and a good driver in the 1LE it would be an awesome race. But I love it so far I'm glad I made the jump.

P.s. Zero mods are planned for this car. That's what I'm planning on anyway but we all know how that goes... well I will pull f8 for sure.

What do think about the differences in ride? I came out of a Mazdaspeed3 which was at the far end of the stiff spectrum. I'm enjoying the more relaxed ride of the standard convertible (which has the same shock/spring package as the standard coupe). I haven't driven a 1LE yet but curious how much the suspension upgrade impacts ride quality.
