I have an active subscription too. I asked to transfer it to the new radio, he said the new radio comes with a 3 month trial, so I told him I wanted an extension of my subscription. He said no problem- mine now expires next February instead of November.

I told them I got it replaced under warranty and they switched it and dropped the fee

They did mention it was already registered but now I understand why

Any one that has a bad pic on the 2012 car from the camera PM chevy24@gen5diy and will get you set, one wire in the harness is off.

How about those who have bad pic in their rear camera for the 2011 ones ?

I had that I just reversed the solder points in the middle cable the one that connects between the rear camera and the Mylink unit.

are you talking about XM or the Bluetooth ID? The bluetooth is set that way, you would have to rename it on your phone if you wanted to not see it on the phone.

So it works? and did your radio have any XM problems with getting it loaded as your radio for XM ?

Yes this fixed the bad video problem.

I tested the camera on my tv using the same cable before the Mylink install and before switching the solder points. I got the same distorted image on my tv as I did on Mylink. At that time I chalked it off as being incompatible with TV's.

I read this thread at was informed by another member that the camera harness was wired wrong. I just thought it was easiest to switch the wires at the point I did.


As for XM it worked while I had free trial but I haven't subscribed yet. ( don't need it at the moment. )

Keep in mind mine was a unit I supplied. Apparently I got the only nav unit that salvage yard had. All their other cars had non-nav.

I'm hoping to get the HUD and maybe dash from them too.

Yes, the faceplate is working great now! Thanks!!!

Now, on to fixing the voice recognition fail (probably a faulty connection in the wiring to the OnStar module) and installing the backup camera ...

I may actually get to drive the Camaro again this weekend!

Does anyone else get a dark picture in the mylink display for the reverse camera. I have the splitter and the picture in the mirror is still normal but the picture that comes up on mylink is darker. Even during daytime picture is dark and at night you can't make out anyobjects unless they're right in front of the camera. Almost not worth using. Now I did have a wire that was put in the wrong port on the splitter but that has been fixed. Any suggestions would help
