If done properly ,I very much doubt you would loose any structural integrity by making a bolt on brace . Some folks just can't bear the thought of cutting a frame . Grade 8 hardware and very good welds should do the trick. A good MIG welder is such a great tool to have.

I'm not concerned about making a few cuts. They tell me I'm a welder so I think I can handle the job. Lol

Until you ask me to do anything electrical. Said object stands a good chance of igniting.

Cost

I’m thinking I have an oil pan gasket that I need replaced also. I’m finding oil running down the underside of the oil pan and the sides. Nothing seems to be leaking on the ground and oil levels are good as well pressure. Anyone know how much it would cost to have the gasket changed? I don’t think this is a job I could do in my garage or want to even mess with.

The previous owner of my car took his in for the leaking oil pan 3 times until the dealer finally figured out that the pan was warped. Just something to check

One method is to lift the engine up, but not out.

Wow! I guess with the whole removing the engine to access it, I could see that kind of price.

Is it crucial to have this done if it's not a massive leak? Thoughts?
