I'd be interested in that too as long as it doesn't require the head unit being sent back for reprogramming.

I am really exited about the MyLink retrofit. Thanks Ofer.
I have a 2010 and Ofer has answered my questions via PM (thank you !!) I am wondering though..I'm looking for options to get some of the parts to complete the install. I think the mylink was added to the Camaro 2013.. So if that's correct then are all 2013 and or 2014 cars mylink (I thought I've seen 2013 cars without mylink) I need to know, besides the Ofer wiring and hardware, I need: 1) both door panels with the door lock switches (anybody find a solutions to use the existing door panels?) 2) 4 gauge cluster trim from a "mylink" car (2013/2014) 3) rear camera related hardware - I have one question about the rear camara. How does it mount from the facory.. Do I need to source parts from 2013 / 2014? Anybody have pics of a 2010 (or other yr similar parts) before and after camara install TNT523

I installed my kit yesterday and I think everything is working, but have a question about the bane of my existence...that damn Onstar X2 connector. What is the purpose of the 3 wires that go into it and how do I verify that the connections are working for the 3 wires?
I ask because I could not for the life of me get that damn lock to pop open all the way. I ended up getting the red cable stuck partway through and when trying to pull it back out ripping the metal connector off it. I ended up opening up the Onstar silver box and soldering 3 wires onto pads 5, 6 and 12. I used some wiring from an old PC fan (red/yellow/black wires) and tied them into your 3 wires.

2) Just trim existing one with dremel. Very Easy 3) I got a rear license plate camera with grid lines. No extra holes easy to install. Grid distance lines different colors work perfect. |
