Mine sometimes takes a while to start up.
One time I'll start the car and the dashlogic is on immediately. Then another time it will take over 2 minutes. Other than that it works great! (Haven't checked the trans temp though yet) Do you think the new update will help? Also, can the exhaust control function be disabled? |

It is simply just plug it in and select the firmware file. We have seen that some computers take a really long time to declare the USB "ready for use". Make sure the switch is in "Config". Then try plugging it in, but DO NOT hit the connect button, just go to Tools>Firmware Upgrade. It should take a few seconds, then Windows will pop up in the corner saying it is ready, then it will just start loading the file. If you hit the connect button first, we have to reboot DashLogic before loading the file, which may take just that extra bit of time your computer is needing.

I have my line lock wired into the cruise control switch also (switch link) and would like to do a burnout with the exhaust flaps open and not be forced to have them closed. Not a big deal, just thought I would ask. Can this be added in a later update? What about the remaining questions about delayed start up and the newest update? Should I try the new update? Thanks |

Can someone with a ZL1 and a Dashlogic try something out for me please?
If you get a chance, with your car cold (over night storage), can you start the car as normal (factory exhaust setting, cruise control off), wait for the Dashlogic to start up, and then as soon as possible flip the cruise control switch to on (quiet mode, flaps closed). Do your exhaust flaps make a rattling noise or a constant and fast repeating loud sound when doing this? (Loud enough to be heard from walking pedestrians while driving by them) Thank you! Mine does this and it is very noticeable in the garage and sounds bad. After about a minute or so of idling or driving the noise stops. (It is almost like the exhaust has to build pressure for the flaps to work or something like that. Or the hinges in the flaps are tight or need lubrication or they need to be warmed by the exhaust gases before it works correctly) The system works great but I would like to be able to start the car with the flaps closed in the garage. (It avoids rattling the dishes in the kitchen cabinets and waking people up) |

The exhaust flaps work off of vacuum. You have to have the car started to close them. You cannot start the car with them closed, no vaccum yet.
