I had mine done earlier this week. Dropped it off at 7:00 and got a call at 1:30 saying come and get it. Relatively speaking, we have a fair number of ZL1s in Houston (probably because you can drive them ten months a year). My dealership has SCs in stock and a couple of techs that bolt 'em down and bang 'em out. Car runs great and sounds great. The absence of the rattle is deafening.....You don't realize how bad it is until it's gone.
I went to Loyola....I remember Reisterstown Rd.

I believe MLee had his replaced after his mods, not sure. Could have been close. Also any mods will not make this happen. It is a Eaton manufacturer defect and if yours is making the noise it should be replaced. If the dealership tries to tell other wise then they are wrong. Even people that have had the isolator changed can get reimbursed by GM. If you did the upper pulley make sure that the dealership will swap them.

I was impressed by the care they took of my car. I then said I would see him in a couple of days, he smiled and said it would be done later that afternoon, and that if I would come back about 4pm that I could go on the test drive with him. The car performed flawlessly, I told him that he could work on my anytime, now I have a tech that knows me and the ZL1. Great tech, great results. It does happen. Thanks to Joe Jorganson and his service crew at McCurley Chevrolet Pasco Wa.
Hey thanks. That's not too far from me.

My mods were done right AFTER the dealer replaced the S/C. Unless they are real friendly there is no way they will take the pulley off and put on your old one. The car would also be tuned for the smaller pulley as well.

The new S/C came with a solid isolator as well. This was Dec 2013

I have a 2013 vert and I never got a letter about this.
My dealer checked my vin and only problem listed was the key fob
and an update to the nav. I have 15k miles and no noise yet.
Any way to verify directly with GM?

lol only 10 months? I have driven mine non stop since 4-12-2012 delivery. Anyway, just turned over 27K miles on this trip to Midland. No issues yet, but Mike told me it is inevitable. I think I have totally wore out these GY hockey puck tires though.

Had mine replaced with 1400 miles on it. Took 4 days to get the sc and one day to put it on.

Had mine looked at today. Have to bring it in "officially" tomorrow to document the rattle and rear end noise. Hopefully this doesn't take too long. First dealer I went to, which was the closest had no idea what I was talking about so I ran from there quickly. Current dealer Service Manager is a Camaro owner so hopefully understands my concern. I'm at 17k miles....

The blower is all stock, I changed the lower pulley. They know everything I have done to the car, they even want to watch me run it at the strip.
They said they wouldn't say anything about the mods. to GM unless they ask, it has been submitted to them for replacement and they haven't asked for the tune file or pics. Yet. The dealer called me today and said there still waiting for a response from GM.

TSB #13313: Special Coverage Adjustment - Supercharger Warranty Extension

Replacing the SC "SuperCharger" under warranty is not a recall like the key fob is. GM extended the SC warranty but did not issue a recall on the SC.

If you have the noise and/or a loose SC pulley you can ask them to replace it.

If your dealer has not done any of these replacements yet start the conversation with them and refer to this:
TSB #13313: Special Coverage Adjustment - Supercharger Warranty Extension - (May 22, 2014)
Models: 2009-2013 Cadillac CTS , 2012-2013 Chevrolet Camaro, Equipped with 6.2L V8 Engine (LSA)

Here is an article on the GM announcement:

To Be Fixed on Wednesday

Mine goes in on Wednesday.Dealer says it’s a 6 hour job and will be done the same day. I asked how difficult and he responded that they did many 3.8 supercharger replacements assuring me that they are quite capable of doing the repair. I was at a Camaro meet last month parked next to a ’13 ZL1 that was scheduled for the replacement. At 4500 miles, I never heard the rattle until he pointed out that I had it too. I’m have the air bag recall done at the same time. That I understand is a quick fix.
