Losing the engine cover...

I am getting ready to do some housekeeping under the hood and reorganizing some things. I would like to request some pics from those that have ditched the engine cover and repainted, rerouted, or redone the engine bay to highlight the LS3/L99 engines.

When I take off my engine cover, it looks like a mess or plumbing and and electrical under there. Not appealing to the eye at all. Have you thought about getting your engine cover custom painted? Back in the day, we'd swap out valve covers to custom chrome or painted versions - pretty much the same today. Just a thought. Good luck either way you go.

keep the engine cover off, period. form over function, you are trapping heat with the cover just so that the engine looks less complicated to those who don't understand what to look for when buying a car
makes a lot of sense

I dropped about 5-10° off my coolant temps by removing the cover...not sure but i think it helped IAT's as well....no way to monitor that.

Im trying to get some folks on C5 to show off the work they've done under the hood to beautify the engine bay with the cover off.

I found a great thread with some ideas already.
