So in the end you gained 40 hp from the new timing chains and cams?

Knocking on the door... Pretty nice numbers. Would probably be over 300hp on the right dyno. Looks a little lean though @ 14.1 @ WOT? Maybe more to get out of it?

Yea they said I can make more but HPtuners software wouldn't let me raise my limiter past 7000rpms I don't no why he emailed them about it he said there is still room for more power to be made and it was also 92 degrees on a mustang dyno so you never no with the right temperature and everything

Congrats man...I'm really surprised there isn't more activity going on in this thread. This is very cool stuff....probably the biggest news for the LLT we've had in a long time.

I mean...FINALLY...it seems like we've had a first successful install of cams on a Camaro V6.

Can you change the subject of this thread??? I think if you can you should change it to something else about cams instead of just the HPTuner (which I know at first you only planned on getting tuned, but that changed in a big way lol)

I just really wish we knew how much power the chains may (or may not) have been robbing you of power during your pre-cams run. That would tell us a lot.

I know dyno runs aren't cheap, and I don't know how many dyno shops you have in your area, but if you can find one with a dynojet you should try running there and see what numbers you get. I think that car will show 300rwhp. We need someone to break that mark!! It could be you!

I know you said 290rwhp above, but it looks like the best the chart shows is 288rwhp, which is 2 rwhp shy of our best numbers we ever seen. Take a look at the dyno thread. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153186 You should post up your info in that thread and I can add you to it.

So last but not least....what are your driving impressions? How does the car feel? Does it still have decent low end power as well as the top end?

I know I'll probably get flamed for this but.... this is probably the reason why there hasn't been more activity. I'm sure if we had a thread with just the gains from the cams, it'd be different but the fact the cams and chains gained 40 hp and we don't know from which that power came from doesn't help. Especially since the cams were supposed to yield 40 rwhp on their own. I'd also love to see the OP get it up to 7000 rpm since he'd probably break the oh so elusive 300 rwhp mark. Either way, flame suit on

Question for the OP, what rpm did the tuner let off at? The pics of the dyno graphs don't show it.
