Nice get-together at KMart tonight, guys!
For those of you unable to attend, interest is growing in a club - when I mentioned to folks with earlier gens that we were thinking of starting one up they perked right up. Might be time to try and figure out a time and place to meet to hammer out some details? |

Too bad you didn't have a ticked off cat you had just bathed to toss onto the pervert- that would have given him something else to think about for a few very painful moments.
We watched for you but I figured you may have gotten swamped since you said you only had one doc in. When do you head off for school? Hopefully we can get a meeting scheduled and held before you get sucked into the university world. You may find you don't have much time for your Camaro5 pals then. But we all better get invites to your graduation(s) in a few years :-) |

We threatened to call the cops on him if he came back. Not sure how well that will play out.
My last day at work is September 15th, and I believe I'm moving in on the 20th.

Ok I went to the track last night and a bunch of fords and ricer cars dumped oil on the track so alot of cleaning up cut down the time we had to actually race. Heather only did 4 passes in 7 hours. My first pass was just to get the flow and I just punched it when the light turned green... no pre-reving and a bad reaction time. 1/4 at 16.305 @87.38mph, second pass was a bit better at 15.673 @89.36... (the TC was still on) that was my best reaction time at .669
(I just had to work 69 in there somehow). After about what seemed like 2 hours my third and final pass, with TC off, was 15.531 @89.64 but by 11:40pm I was half asleep. Linda did one pass (3rd of the night after I figured all the stuff out on the first two) and she did 16.501 @ 87.31. She was all like I don't know if we should be doing this all the way down to the track and all the way through inspection and all the way right up to the starting gate. After that lousy pass she was like lets go again lets go again. and at the end of the night she was pissed she only got to go once and said we'll be back next time they have time trials. Now I have to go look that up.

Congrats on your first go at the track, bartking! EM said it's addicting, and after reading your post I'm tending to believe her! Don't know if I'll ever subject Merlin to my driving at the track or not - I prefer running him out in the Hoosier farmland sticks where it's just me, Merlin, and hundreds of acres of corn watching :-)

Hey you guys - Fenwick has requested/suggested we try to set a date sometime soon to all meet somewhere between Dayton and Cincinnati. I think he wants his SW Ohio Camaro fix before he heads off to Columbus for school in a month! Anybody interested?
Saturdays after 4 or Sundays are best for me... |
