They could give owners waiting for their cars the half assed fix they doing now as a temporary solution until a proper fix could be manufactured. They could even give it to the extreme few that are able to turn their car off.

I still hold the opinion that the new key will not change anything. If you can accidently or purposely turn off the car with the current fob, you can do it with the big headed key.

I would like to know if this survey is for real. If so, I'd be on this in a heartbeat, GM.

I totaly agree

The recall makes the FOB look broken. Somehow we need to get there attention and get GM to do another recall fixing the gap left were the key use to be. GM could either issue new FOB'S or a plastic insert to cover the gap so pocket lint and dust doesn't get inside the FOB

I went to dealership with recall notice and told them I was not interested. They said no problem and I signed a refusal waiver.

I have been to 3 different dealerships since the recall started. They always bring it up and I always tell them no thanks. They seem pretty happy not to have to deal with the paperwork, I get to keep my awesome keys. Pretty smooth really...

Even if they come up with a better solution, they won't offer it to us. The next generation Camaro will be out soon, why bother with us? They came up with a solution that took the least amount of IQ points and thought and are now done with us.

I can imagine how that meeting went. Someone grabbed a Camaro key/fob, flipped it open, snapped the key off, dropped it on the conference room table, threw their hand up in the air and exclaimed, "Done Bitches! ".

I wouldn't doubt that's the way it happened.
