Thanks Kyle! Not enough to get under cowl tray though...

Not to take anything away from BMR (they are maybe 30 minutes from my house, so they are my hometown favorite) but doesn't Detroit Speed make adjustable engine mounts? Maybe they have more adjustment range. I know they'll be more expensive.

Will not fit under stock hood
Will not fit under cowl without notching
Will loose clearance for function of passenger wiper
Will require extending Throttle-body harness
Prothane/BMR motor mounts only give you a 1/4" drop (not enough without cutting cowl)
Will require alternate injectors or injector o-ring kit to adapt the OEM injectors on the manifold side (I went ahead and adjusted the rail side as well for optimum fit)
Will require either extending MAP sensor harness-or relocating sensor to a bracket and plumbing tubing to a vac port (No one makes a bosch style female MAP connector for a plug-n-play harness extension)
Fuel lines are just -8AN fittings but will have to order specialty GM SAE Quick-Disconnect to -8AN adapter from Jegs or Summit (get a valved one by jiffy-tite so you can pull it and not spill gas on your headers)

To be honest both the high and mid-rise have the same modification requirements ...

The Mid-rise however is best suited for the factory RPM range of the motors bottom end, high rise would do crazy things to the power band of an N/A LS3 with factory internals.

I didnt do this mod for the intake gains, I did it because I am installing an ECS-YSi and needed the metal intake not a plastic one as this thing grows to 700HP and big boost, methanol injection will cool intake tract to combat cast intake heat soak

Did some more clean up in the bay with the manifold out... heater hose relocation, painted the valley cover, cleaned up firewall liner and a few other house keeping items. Will post more pics once I reassemble/paint manifold and drop it in for the final time

First pic shows the needed clearance for the lid, second is after notching cowl and removing wipers (My car is never driven in the rain so wiper delete is a weight loss far as I'm concern but I could have just disabled the passenger and kept the driver side if I this were my second or first car.... I would prefer industrial glass cleaner, razor blade glass scraper and Rain-X in case i get caught in unexpected showers)

NO PROB! Wish it was easier but its more than a simple bolt-on like the FAST...
Luckily I already had short motor mounts, a tall cowled ram-air hood and its not my daily driver so notching cowl and deleting wipers was no biggie.

Now that I'm this far in the motor DOD/VVT delete is pretty tempting LOL but I will let my builder deal with the internals and Ill focus ion the bolt-ons and blower

The hi-ram/mid-ram was developed for a built LS motor and not the 5th Gen Camaro, if your not all in with your ride as a competition track/streetable vehicle neither the Hi or Mid Ram Holley intakes are for you.

On the previous pic was the last test fit: notch was completed, valley cover painted, plumbing routed, injectors and rails done...

This weekend I'll put the port rings in and bolt it down after I check the throttle body to hood clearance but I have to extend brake boosted hose and I'm still waiting on valved fuel quick disconnect and sensor harness extensions

But now it's snug, tailored and soon be as clean as a factory install!
Now on to the YSi kit....

I'm curious why you need a cast intake vs the factory intake for boost?

Wasn't a need as much as insurance.... Plastic intakes can crack under certain conditions.... Several of the FAST have cracked and I've even seen a factory one split as well. As an engineer I have a habit of over building things, when the average is 5 build for 10 lol

Once the bottom end is built you can throw more at it than 12lbs (cam & heads) and since the plastic wasn't deigned for boost I'm sure 15lbs is probably more than it wants
