Once the bottom end is built you can throw more at it than 12lbs (cam & heads) and since the plastic wasn't deigned for boost I'm sure 15lbs is probably more than it wants
Gotcha. I ran a ported stock with 22lbs and a Ysi and a couple other guys have made well over 1k to the wheels with them.

However, my next iteration I, too, am using a Hi Ram because:
1)I already bought it and had it port matched to my heads
2)It looks cool
3)turbos will negate any low end loss
4)I already have a speced cam for the turbos of choice and the hi ram
5)I have no issue cutting my cowl to make it fit.
6)Already have an MPD1 cowl hood on it.

RaiderSS... over building is the way to go. "Why build it when you can over build it?"

Did we ever get #s on the dyno for the mid rise vs stock and high rise?

There's a link in either this or the other thread that compares the manifolds on cathedral heads.

RaiderSS you wouldn't know the runner length of the mid rise intake? I'm trying to see if my cam would work. If not I'm gone try something else I need this intake

Not sure, she rated from 1500 - 6500 or so.... Just curious, But how will runner length help you calculate lift and duration for the cam phasing?

I got it for looks and boost but my builder will spec cam to the stall and gearing... Would love to know how intake flow numbers other than RPM range can help dial in cam?

I wanted the Holley High Ram but everyone told me that you needed a big cubic inch motor and a cam that pulls past 7grand. Well the cam I have now is a Nitrous cam operating range is 3000-6800 233/248 .619/.595 I'm spraying 150 shot now. So I asked my builder about mid rise and he said he thought runners were to short for my setup. He wanted to know the length. So one is to long one and supposedly one is to short I just want the damn intake lol. You know more about this than I do I just want it to work without going to 416 or 418 cubic inch motor.
