Big Tires with Apex drop???

Does anybody have this tire set up (295/35/20 F & 315/35/20 R) with the Apex 1.25 lowering springs on a ZL1? If so any rubbing?

It is a solid 1 inch difference. Quite noticeable in person.

Take note of the amount of gap between the wheel arch and top of the tire.

Before I order these, do they come with Ride Height Sensor Rods so that the PTM will still work as stock? I recall reading that we need those for the ZL1 and CTS-V.

I haven't heard of the ride height sensor rods, but I have done a couple track days and drive around on PTM 5 all the time and I haven't had any issues. Last time out it was raining so I ran on PTM 1 and I must say it impressed me in the rain. I'll have to look those up though as I am curious now.

I know the D3 Lowering Springs for the CTS-V come with them, but to be honest I've seen that a bunch of people haven't used them and have been completely fine with it.

There is no rod, I had that issue on my 2002 Escalade when I lowered it years ago. This requires transferring over the clip from the old shock and spring to the new spring. It has to be reattached.

Is the camber/toe still at factory spec after this and possibly an alignment? I just wanna make sure the front camber isn't going to chew the tires up. They are already expensive enough.

You will need to get the alignment done on it again to be on the safe side, but it shouldn't be out by much. I aligned mine to an aggressive street alignment, but not a full on track alignment. The Goodyear's lasted me 12k miles and 1 track day. I have switched over to MP Super Sports now.
