My first impression was ,great looks, great handling, but seams down on power . At 3900 pounds it needs more power .

For myself,
The biggest thing was how the car sounded. The npp really struck me for a stock set up. I test drove quite a few SS models, and this one was by far in it's own class imo.
Beautiful car. Considering I just came from driving around an 05 Zo6, I thought I was impressive.
I agree with everyone who says it should have more power. Solid 500 would probably be perfect.

You guys are going to laugh at me but I have been driving a 1963 Volkswagen Bug with 40hp for the last 14 years. I felt the need for a new car because a vintage car looks bad on a resume. My friend has a Nieman Marcus Camaro and I loved it. I liked the 1LE because it is different from every other SS on the road and why not? My first impressions when driving it were.....this car rides like sp*t! My VW rides better. I had trouble with blind spots (being short sucks), and I can not even see the speedometer. Long story short, I fell madly in love with the car and bought it on the spot. This new concept of A/C, power windows, power steering, and a car that does not get in the way (everyone else gets in the way) is amazing. Now to find a wheel place to repair the scratch from the nasty pothole I failed to see because I have no feeling for the size of the car yet. I am madly in LOVE!

Even though I read and did a lot of research, i still couldnt believe how great this car felt to drive "on rails". Its every bit as good/fun as my old z06.

I missed the cutoff date by a couple of days for ordering a 13 model when they started taking orders for the 14. I went on a mission to find my exact car & I was lucky enough to find a exactly what I wanted in a few states away. I hooked the trailer to the silverado & I was off to pick up my baby.
Did you get that from Rick Hendrick? If so, I was looking at that one but didn't have the money saved up for it in time.

I was really glad I did my own build however, it was awesome and tortures at the same time waiting for it to come. The "Built and Bayed" status was the longest status of my life.

Seeing it for the first time when my mom and bro drove me to the dealership with my wife waiting beside the car, since she was coming from her job, was the coolest memory...and of course I had to double check to make sure there were no scratches from the long haul. ha.

I don't know if I will ever buy new like that again, but that first time feeling of owning a dream car is definitley a once in a lifetime thing.
I still love it, after 10k and going strong!

I've always liked domestics, but I've almost always owned imports. I told the salesman as soon as it started "Start the paperwork."

First day home in the driveway. I decided to buy my 1LE when it was sitting in the showroom with 3 427 Corvette convertibles. Guess which car drew the most attention?

Many many mods since then, mounting daily. Some heartaches, but lots of fun.

I almost got pulled over on the test drive after opening up the NPP exhaust right in front of a LEO. Lucky for me he only followed me for a bit before turning into the Dunk'in Donuts. Recall thinking: I'm going to be shifting a lot but this is going to be a great way to get work.
