I should have used the emoticon. It was a half hearted joke! I am going to mod it next year I should be around 30,000 miles on the car then. I have already modded my suspension on the car when I added all of the Pedders components.

I like the way that sounds. Should be the ZL1 motto.

... end of story

So ... took my 2013 back to dealer and explained that the bulletin given to me (see above) did not apply to my car. After review (and talking to the head mech.) service rep. agreed and a NEW SC is now on order.
Seems to me ALOT of these issues are resolved (or not) based upon who you talk to. Shout out to Ken @ Lamb Chevrolet in Prescott, AZ for doing just what he was supposed to "his job".
Chevrolet has an obligation to fix this issue, if they are arguing this fact then take it to another dealer. MHO

I went to two dealers before I was able to get mine replaced. First two dealers declined saying the noise was normal and this was after them saying they've never had a ZL1 through their shop before. If you've never had a ZL1 serviced then how do you know it's normal? LOL. Mine was rattling pretty good with some chirping.

Took it to Classic and they immediately said that it wasn't normal and got it ordered and replaced.

I don't understand why dealerships would refuse the work on this bulletin. They get paid from GM to perform this fix. You would think they would be bending over backwards to get these jobs, thus increasing productivity in there service department.... duhhh.....

So found out that my car got the new supercharger put on today (17th of Dec) after putting my car in at the dealer on the 11th of Nov.

This whole process of chasing up and then ending not having the ZL1 ready for my holiday has really put me off dealing with any GM products, their customer support people are useless. I now raised a complain to get GM to buy my car back as it been out of service for over 30 days with in the warrant period, and as much i love the car i can't deal with a company that doesn't care for their customers. I would hate to see how long it takes them to fix an issue that isn't well known.

Sounds like a dealer service dept. problem, not a GM problem. Many others have had theirs replaced and it is really only a 1 or 2 day job. Most dealers would order the parts and then bring the car in when they have the new supercharger ready. I'm sure your car just sat there for a month and they only worked on it the last couple days.

I think it's more than the dealer. I had the exact same problem in Oct\Nov where it sat for 3 weeks waiting on GM. The dealer and I both called GM customer service and the dealer also contacted GM tech support. After 3 weeks I took my car home and put it in storage for the winter. I'm waiting until spring and hoping they have there sh!t together by then.

But that is what I am saying. Why leave it at the dealer for an extended amount of time. Take it home and keep it there while they're waiting to get their parts and authorization. Don't leave it at the dealer
