While those cars look great...the results aren't exclusive to Zaino.

I use the MF for this as well as removal of the Zymol and Meguiars and I get asked all the time why my cars don't have swirl marks.

The key to that is light pressure when wiping down and straight line app and removal of waxes.

I also applied Zymol and Meguiars to my Midnight Silver wheels and they look much better.........brake dust is not sticking like it was before either.
thanks

Any towels you get, try the CD test first. If it scratches the CD then don't use them on paint. Best drying towel I found is the Big Blue III towel and I always use a leaf blower so I minimize touching the finish.

Next time I'll stick with using less Z5 and use 100% cotton towels along with my mirco fiber towels.
I must admit that the shine on my black 2SS is looking pretty good now. I'm definitely applying another coat this weekend.

No, thats true. But the ease of use and durability is. Used correctly Zaino is priced right in line with competitor's, and lasts much longer.

When you build up a few coats and use the detailer spray the depth of shine is amazing. Following the directions exactly will result in a finish that will stop traffic.

Just my 2 cents.

I really don't understand all of the comments about being alot of work. This is the easiest product I have ever used. It went on very easy and quickly and taking it off was very quick and easy also. I bought the entire package and just followed the instructions. Reading through those was the hardest part. The finish is incredible. I have seen that road oil won't even stick to it. It wipes off on my finger like a powder. The washes afterwords are just soap on, rinse off and dry and it feels just like I just finished polishing. Next month when it cools of I'll put one more coat of Z-2 and Z-5 like I did the first time around. I agree that there are many good products out there but this one is the best I have ever seen and used. To each their own.

Have to agree with you on this one.

For the guys who are saying it is to long or hard a process, it only is the first time when you have to wash with Dawn soap, clay, re wash and then start the Z2, Z5 etc

To the OP sounds like you may have used to little ZFX, I use 3 drops in 1/2 oz and it cures in 10-15 tops and that is even in the sun, im on coat 17 on my ride and it just gets better and better. I used to be a huge ZYMOL fan but after using Zaino and seeing how easy it goes on and how much easier it comes off ill never use wax again.

Sorry to hear you dont like it.

So, I purchased the $84 kit that includes clay, Z7 wash, Z5 swirl remover, Z2 polish, ZFX accelerator and Z6 spray gloss enhancer. I purchased and received this prior to delivery of my car, and while waiting with great anticipation (you guys know what I mean) I read the Zaino instructions so many times that I almost memorized them. I finally got to use the system on the day that I took delivery. After refusing the complimentary dealer cleaning, I went home and began the whole Dawn, claybar, Z7 prep followed by the first coat of Z5 with ZFX accelerator.

Everything went very well until I started to remove the Z5. It was very difficult to remove. As instructed, I had used the material very sparingly (about 1/2 ounce) and waited over an hour. As I removed, it seemed that the material was not fully cured because it tended to smear somewhat. I finally got it all off with much rubbing and a little help from Z6. Then I was brave enough to try the Z2. Because of my Z5 experience I used even less Z2 with ZFX and applied very thin, but the result was the same. The material just would not set up. As per instructions I kept using the "finger drag" test to see if it was cured. After several hours, I gave up and started removing the residue. Again it was difficult, but obviously some of the polish had cured and remained on the surface because it did look and feel very nice.

I called Zaino to see if perhaps I had a bad batch of ZFX or something, but they just insisted that I must be applying too much polish. I explained that I had used less than indicated in the instructions. Anyway, I decided to try again on the following weekend to apply another coat of Z2. This time I applied the polish on Friday evening and waited until Saturday to remove. I used only 1/3 ounce of Z2 with ZFX. It was so thin, I had difficulty detecting where polish was and was not. In spite of the thin coat and long waiting period, the material still would not pass the finger drag test. It tended to smear and was difficult to remove.

I am in New Orleans and the humidity is always high, but I did this in an air conditioned garage. At one point I tried backing the car out and let it sit in the hot sun, but that didn’t work either. Again, after removing the residue the car looks and feels very good. I can definitely see the effects of the polish when I wash the car. However, I am now a shirt size larger after all of the rubbing and buffing that was necessary to use this product. And I know from reading other posts about Zaino that it is not supposed to be this difficult to remove. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any suggestions?
Turbodog,

I just got back on the PC and quickly read you're issues using Zaino.

I first checked to see where you're located. HIGH humidity is a huge issue in using Zaino - but seeing as you detailed in an air conditioned garage, it should not have been too big an issue.

I think I read that you used the ZFX additive? Did you add the proper amount? Also, a good "rule of thumb" when deciding on the amount of polish to apply is, " a dime sized dollop per body panel". Also, did you dampen the applicator to ease application and therefore allow it to be spread thinly as directed?

Zaino is no more difficult to use than any other wax/polish contrary to popular belief. If dont properly, its very easy to use. And the durability is far superior, allowing you to have to polish less often.

Please shoot me a PM, or we can talk via the phone once I get home from vacation, and I'd be happy to "walk you through" the process.

Ed
