Chris: your car will be missed...You on the other hand better not be! We had better see you around! So...did you get the 4 cylinder Mustang or the V6?

Well, the following pictures are what happens when I have 3 days without work or school and a garage heated to 65 degrees . My new winter project is heater hose relocation, coil pack reloacation, polish the exterior of the throttle body, valve covers, line lock, and a general cleaning/polishing and decluttering of the engine bay....should be a good time.

Any other suggestions for mods to the engine bay? (other than a big nasty cam or supercharger or turbos)

There's a whole slug of stuff you could do

Easy street
  • Remove the positive battery terminal
  • Hide evap solenoid under fuse box
  • Painting and clearing the strut towers and edging (My 2010 was not clear coated like the newer cars)
  • Relocate grounding strap ( I would do this and the evap totally clears the passenger side cyl. head)
  • Put new billet pulleys on
  • Take front drive off and sand brackets smooth (looking at doing this this winter)
  • Replace hoses with braided hose and put T clamps on intake

looking into C5 Fest this year. Found a place I can rent an enclose trailer, but cost $125 a day or $400 a week. ouch. We have an 08 Dakota, but I am not sure how it would handle with towing so I am also looking at finding a rental. I see Enterprise has a good selection, but they they state: "Towing capability not available for consumer rentals." So I am assuming this means I am not allowed to use it for towing? Looked at Hertz, but they don't have much for a selection.

Time consuming crapDang haha...I like a lot of those ideas. A few questions
1. where do you relocate the fuse box?
2. Is there cutting and rewiring or just moving?
3. Where is a solid connection to relocate the grounding strap?
4. Did you make the new plug wires or buy a kit?

I am going to be working on it alot this weekend, I will post updates as I go

Administrators - please leave post here. I desire to sell to my immediate Iowa area before branching out. Thanks.

Selling my following parts.

fyi - I do not have any Private message box space.
Please Do Not click on "Quote"-it will copy and past my long post, simply use*Post Reply*on bottom left and state the #x your potentially interested in. I will make contact.

Preferably, please post your interested"#" in the other ICE FB thread for tracking order .
Pricing will be discussed offline with the buyer(s).
I have pictures or can get them if desired.

I am moving forward with my big car build.
Ive made some revised comments to my parts for sale from an earlier post.

Everything listed is or will be available.

Main item that I would want decent money for would be my existing beefed up Differential and Dss axles because of my big investment in them for their strong setup. I could provide install labor to add value.

Take a look.
Ill open it up to public outside Iowa next weekend.

Install labor can be potentially provided for some of the items- at no charge or minimum fees.

All items are in great shape and have been properly brought to temps before load and full winter heated storage. Car has seen rain once. I will disclose full details as/when/if needed.

I do not have pricing figured yet on most items-will focus as people request. This is fast tracked so speak up if at at interested, before I post it to the gen pop. You can search $ on your own also. The more purchased together- the lower I can go. Not looking to make money-just help with a big car build.
I can ship small stuff or meet up. Large items would be delivered via my truck or trailer ( at buyers travels gas expense if far away from East central Iowa), or you could come get them.

Sales to be awarded to first come first serve, provided asking price minimum is met. Major multiple part buys may affect decision. Local people dont trump those afar - I will be fair as possible.

Car is 2011 SS Auto V8:

1- complete 6.2 L99 engine (Auto version of LS3). 11k miles. Estm at 500 crank HP. 160stat. PB UD pulley. Ported TB or OEM.

2- OEM exhaust complete for Automatic. Has Not been cut. Was on car a year.

3- OEM intake, washer bottle.

4- Cold Air Inductions . Black.
Maybe my ADM scoop.

5- Beefed up professionally built rear differential. Stock case. Eaton True Trac direct gear (no clutch packs to wear out)rated to 850HP. JRE Post mod, billet caps and LPW cover. This a killer setup.

6- stock rear gear - 3.27, stock cover.

7- stock axles

8- almost all OEM suspension and shocks.

9- stock drive shaft
9b- metco drive shaft safety loop for stock ds and extension plate for one piece shaft.

10- American Racing Headers 1-7/8 coated, Arh High flow cats, and ARH 3" X Pipe great pieces.

11- SLP 2300 (newest style) PD style Supercharger full kit(4k miles, one Track event)

Optional I have:

B- MDI Boost a pump (fuel voltage booster).
C- CAI intake tube-longer. Black to match.

12- Drive Shaft Shop Axles Latest design Level 4 -1000Rwhp.

I have an 01 Dakota. I wouldn't use it to tow that far, especially something as heavy as a 5thgen. Mine is rated for a little over 5000 lbs, I doubt an 08 is much more.
