2. I think offering a luxury option would be smart as long as stuff like the HUD and track recording system aren't stuck in it. 3. I hope GM puts the LT4 in with its full potential but I have a feeling it will end up detuned. 4. In my opinion, GM set the trend with the Z/28 being the top of the line track car. I don't see how they can offer a lesser version of the Z/28 unless they make the "affordable" Z/28 the 1LE and the all out version the Z/28. People might take offense to the 1LE and Z/28 sharing engines but I don't see how else GM can do it.

If I read what Mr. Reuss has said correctly the SS will have MRC so ride quality will not be an issue with a superior performing 6th Gen SS.

All forums ebb and flow over time, I think things will pick back up as the 6th gen Camaro gets closer. I think the 5th gen Camaro (and 5th gen Z/28) questions have been pretty much resolved, on to the 6th gen, I'm sure there will be much discussion about the body style selection and various engines and powertrain combinations are "supposed" or revealed. I think the great group of people on this particular thread are here for the long haul, not simply for a quick "shock value" discussion.

An LTZ-type package makes very good sense. It's currently the only potential volume version missing from Gen-5. ZL1 with LT4 - YES! Z/28 and Z/28-R - More volume, with option selection, will be the answer to the only question the Gen-5 Z/28 failed to deliver on...entry PRICE. Well-done ALL, as usual. Thanks for the prod, Number 3! |

This^^^. Had the current 1LE been offered with the LS7, that is what I would have bought as I too have a man crush on the LS7. Best engine GM has built to date IMO

Keep in mind the "possible" starting price point for the "base" GT350. With an AFM-less LT1 (LT2?), and a potential starting price of, oh hell let's just say, $49,995, the sales charts would get "very interesting"! We'll know the TRUE price of the 350 before we see, and "rationalize", a base Z/28 package and number. |

Because Chevrolet is still selling the 5th Gen, they have not provided the same launch information as they did with the 5th Gen. Without the factory scheduled 'leaks' to create chatter on the forum, there has been limited chatter. When the heavily camo'd 6th Gen pics hit, we had more activity here in the House. Hopefully, we'll be buzzing with all things 6th Gen... soon.

My understanding is the LS7 was too expensive to use in the 1LE body. It would have cost the same as the ZL1 but performed worse.

A Nissan dealer I know asked me if I could make a Nissan Cube cool. We have one in paint now based on this photochop.

I've always thought the 2014/15 Z/28 was more of a Z/28-R. A Gen6 Z/28 and Z/28-R is very much like a Corvette Z06 & Z06/07. It would provide a better entry level price-point for Z/28 lovers not serious about tracking and a track weapon for those so inclined. Making a Gen6 1LE is a must as it now has a strong following which continues to grow. It also provides an answer to the Mustang GT and Challenger track packs. The ZL1 also has a strong following and will be needed to compete with the Hell Cat and GT500 (I'm sure we'll see them again). IMO, to keep the Camaro on top these various sub-models are necessary.

I still want something different than "R". Everyone does that these days.
