Does the fuse pull work? Can I document it's improvement? In a word; WOW, OH YEA, I NOW HAVE A MUSCLE CAR!!!

Attached are times lips from the drag strip. One was from September, and today's run with premium and a fuse pull. Both in the same, left lane. No placebo effect here.

It was 10 degrees cooler today, a little more tail wind, but that does not equate to almost a second improvement ET, and 5 mph top end! When you squirt the throttle now, she really moves!

Smoother, less bucking and jerking. Won't know about mileage for a while. It's not a daily driver right now.

PULL YOUR FUSES! Don't wait two months like I did.

Thanks Camaro5! Sooooo much great info!

My 2012 L99 2SS RS bone stock is running 13.4's at 106mph with some wheel spin.
So it not a complete turd, but I did the fuse pull for the hell of it last night just to see if it makes any difference.
Put the fuses back in the following morning and let it idle for ten minutes before taking it for a short spin.

To be honest I couldnt tell any difference, I know my car had cheap gas in it from the dealer too. But today it was also warmer almost 80 degrees when I had it out for a drive. Honestly the most noticeable improvement in performance I thought felt in the car came after I ran it down the track 10 times. It seemed to run harder after that night, but it could just be in my head. One thing I did notice though a little cr a

Has anyone experienced a rough idle pre fuse pull with it going away post fuse pull? Trying to figure out why my ss m6 shakes when at idle....just got car a week agao and I'm thinking dealer put cheap gas in it as well....I was told it could be a misfire or maybe a broken motor mount but idk. I have no CEL light on so I'm starting to scratch my head now on what it could be. I went thru the first "dealer fill up" tank in a matter of days and since have filled it with 93

Thats usually a vacuum leak if i'm not mistaken. Check the major areas of concern: Throttle body, brake booster etc.

Have you changed out master cylinder recently? Check there as well if so.

No problem. I went through this recently. Was a clogged pcv valve on passenger side. Wicked small inlets on bottom and tiny hole outlet on top. Drilled out the holes to a more appropriate size and poof, idles like a champ.

Mine is doing the same thing. I'm thinking I may try the fuse pull just to see. If that doesn't work. To the dealership we go.

any 1 know what the cutoff is for the octane level? 91 and up? So anything less than 91 and we should do the fuse pull again?

I'm making the fuse pull a maintenance item. I'll do a fuse pull, just-in-case, whenever I work on the car. It's quick and easy, and it can't hurt!

91 octane is OK. We have 93 octane here in TN, but I've heard of stations that put 87 in the premium tanks. From what I understand, once these cars go into the low octane timing table, they never come back out, unless a fuse pull is done. I've also heard that rocks flying up off a gravel road will trigger the knock sensors to retard timing. Looking at the tables, it can be up to 19 degrees, total retard.

The fuse pull really woke mine up. Drag strip trap MPH numbers can't be disputed. It picked-up 5 MPH! Fuse pull is more than a placebo!

I have experienced this twice, both after my helpful dealer topped off my tank with regular. Both times I ran the tank nearly dry and ran a couple of tanks of 93 (my usual fuel) through it, then pulled the fuses and after putting a dozen or so miles on her... it did the trick. Smoothed right out.
