To be very picky, I'm not satisfied with the rear backup lights. They look really dumb there, and cheap. Light you just slip a flat head screw driver under them and pop them off to change the bulb.

That's the only thing I don't currently like. Everything else I'm complimenting!

Sorry didnt mean to bring that all down on you. You just happened to be the last one to post about it. You really wernt the one I was passing judgement on, other then the back up lights part because there isnt much that can be done about those.
Thanks, Blizzard. They've done an outstanding job. Sorry to have come across as nit picky in any way. Still just "tweakin' out loud."

It's CamAro, not Camero people.
Right, 4thGen. If you see anyone referring to camero in bold type, it's in referrence to the individual who uses this spelling as his username in the site. This person is known to work for GM (confirmed) and, from time to time, clues us in on what's happening with the Camaro (see earlier post from camero in this thread). Camaro, the bad boy beauty. camero, the bad boy...and maybe a beauty to some...not for me to say.

Oh, ok. Thanks for the explanation.

It's good to know, at least 99% sure, that this is the Camaro SS as it will look in showrooms. It'd be nice if it is the "lower-end" V-8 model. Maybe it's just me, but I've always been partial to the "SS" badge. Of course, if that is the case, it would be nice to be able to afford the top-dog Z-28 model...

And let's face it, it's still Camaro, it's still coming back, it's gonna blow the competition away, and I don't think I've ever seen a production car look so much like it's concept counterpart. Long live the Camaro! And props to camero, fbodfather, and all the many others who brought it to life!

I'm just glad I'm a local cop... hopefully I can get away with a little extra speed...

So STOP being some spoiled little brats who cry when you dont get your way and give some respect to the people who worked hard for the past few years to give you this car.
I was thinking they could put them vertically on the sidesa of the license plate area. They just look...i don't know...lost?

Same, I didn't want to get a Camaro SS, I just wanted a nothing special, V8, Camaro, but since the V8 Camaro's are all going to be SS's, I guess I will have to get one. That's why I the way the put the badge on the side, and not a fat "SS" where the because I don't want to think of it as a "Camaro SS", just a "Camaro, and oh and by the way, it's also a Camaro SS."

Yep, as I've said before.... we don't like the reverse lights there either. The original location didn't work out and neither did any others. We didn't just casually stick them there thinking it'd be fine though. We tried everything and that was the only solution. I can't go thru and explain the problems with every other possible location. It was so long ago and involved so many legal, practical, engineering and styling considerations that most of it's forgotten by now. Just know that they are there because of a mistake, not a design choice and nobody's happy about it but all the complaining in the world won't help at this point. In person you hardly notice them though because the rest of the car turned out so nice. (I'm just glad that the whining about the gas cap is over!)

Yeah, we'll get right on it! Thanks for pointing that out. (Actually it is the same width, it just got a little less low to the ground and it's shot with a zoom lens instead of a wide angle)

Thanks, but you're putting words into my mouth about the grill.
Camero,

I know that the lens of the camera, especially a wide lens can distort an image. I saw the Bumblebee Camaro in person and took pictures of it with a regular Cannon camera and it did look different than all of the photos's I've seen thus far of the pre-pro and latest pics in this thread. Perhaps width is the same as you say however the rear glass width seems wider in the final production camaro which gives the allusion that the width is smaller. Can you elaborate on the differences if any of the rear between this and the Bumblebee that I've seen and the final production vehicle. I assume the Bumblebee/Saleen_GTO has the same dimensions as the concept that I didn't get to see in person so that is why I mention the Bumblebee... The car looks great so far and I like the SS front bumper you helped choose Good job.. Now I need to know when I can order these from the dealer ..

Thanks for the explanation! I was one of the detractors of the B/U lamps, but like you said, the rest of the car turned out so nice, you don't really notice. BTW, I really like the SS front bumper cover...aggressive looking! I guess I'll have to remove the huge bowtie though, I kinda wanted a SS badge there instead. Same on the tail panel, a SS badge, centered between the taillamps in a blacked out panel...ala 67-69 Camaros. Nitpicky, I know, but I can customize it the way I want when I finally OWN ONE!!!!!!!!
