One of the things that gets me mad when you read other forums is how much they talk trash on how hard it is to see out of the Camaro and the interior because it just not as bad as these other people say it is. I think a lot of people that talk all the trash on the internet about the Camaro never even been in one before and just repeat what other people have said.
Yes it has B2 Spirit cockpit visibility somewhat but I have damn near ran more people off the road in my past BMW 330 E46 sedan while in my 2011 L99 and 2012 LS3 Camaro and over 100000 miles it has never ever happened. No one ever raised their fist or base ball bat at me in this car vs the BMW.

In August I purchased a 2014 Mustang GT Track Pack as I have always been a Ford guy, having owned several early 90 5.0's and a 67 Fairlane for 20 years . At the time of my Mustang purchase I knew nothing about the Camaro 1LE. I do like the Mustang for the most part, but there are things I do not like, such as the transmission MT-82, the shifter is totally useless, the car feels really floaty even with the track pack, it sits like a 4 x4 and yes I can lower it and put Koni's all around to help that. Because Ford likes multiple cams, a cam swap is upwards of $1500 just for the cams and really they do not pick up that much HP on that motor. Ford's solution is getting their Ford racing tune which changes the fuel curve and provides a "cammed idle". Yea, I am still old school, If I want the choppy idle, I want it done with good old lift, duration, and overlap. Quite frankly after seeing all of your 1LE's especailly in Black and Hot Red, and hearing those who have cammed theirs (wicked sounding BTW), my Stang feels underwhelming and is not nearly as nasty looking even in black. I don't see a ton of SS Camaros, mostly 6 cylinders, around here so I never realized just how bad ass they look. Look my situation is totally my fault, I should have at least driven the Camaro before making such a large purchase. My 12 year old son wanted me to go check one out, but I was bullheaded because all I have ever known are Fords. That is water under the bridge. So would I be totally off my rocker to go actually test drive a 1LE (not that any dealer around here has one currently) and suppose I really like it which based on every review and video I have watched I no doubt will (pushrod motor, single changeable cam, Tremec trans, Alcantara wheel, awesome suspension, 4 wheel Bembos, the list goes on). At that point do I take the financial bath to get into the 1LE? The way I look at it I am in for at least 4-5k worth of suspension, wheels/tires, real shifter (MGW) and a tune for the Mustang to get it the way I want it. I am wondering if that 5k would be better spent on trying to get into a 1LE. I bought the Mustang for the right money which will help a little on the beating I will take by trading it and I do have it paid off. I think in my mind, the max I could justify in my mind and maybe, just maybe, my wallet would be a 8-10k addition plus my car. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I just saw the awesome deal that Chevy is having on 2014 leftovers but I do not think there is single leftover 1LE in the country so it will have to be a 2015. Thanks again for your opinion and keep up the great work on this forum and your awesome rides!!
The beginning of this year I bought the 2013 mustang gt convertible. Sold my vette to buy it. Long story short. Even though it was a new car the engine is new and amazing but everything else in the car is out dated. it still has a solid axel. Same suspension design has the sn95 and 5.0 cars it wobbled in turns. It fel like the rear suspension and fron suspension where from two different cars. The steering wheel was terrible. The gauges where hard to read. Not to rant. But long story short I have a 2010 camaro ss. This car is light years past the mustang is every way. Wish I didnt lose some money on buying the mustang but I learned my lesson. Oh and yes Ive owned a cobra a 64.5 mustang and a fox mustang among 8 camaros 2 gtos and a vette. I wanted to like the mustang but it's hard LOL

Congrats on the new car. I love stories with happy endings. Don't worry about the $$ lose with the stang you def made it up on the initial sale. Do what makes you truly happy know matter what. You only live once and timing is everything. You had the opportunity knocking it was meant to be. Now go out and enjoy that car and don't ever look back. Best of luck.

Nice deal on the new 1LE. Great car fun to drive. It's great to hear the story of somebody that really wants one and makes it happen. Now you have to Autocross the 1LE.

Congrats! I traded UP from a GT500 to a 1LE, and I thank myself everyday for doing so! You want to see that new bad boy shine, get yourself out to a track day and drive it for what is designed for. The first time you pass a stang (with very little effort), you will have permagrin....... You will instantly SEE the difference in the two cars. I encountered a supercharged 2014 twice today at Laguna Seca, both times, before I passed him :-) I was shocked to see how bad the suspension REALLY IS. I made a mental note to follow him on the second encounter for 3 turns, with my nose up his @#$ , I was shocked to see how much body roll and front end plowing the car had, I could pass him at will, at any point on the track....even the straight away, as he could not enter final turn anywhere near the speed I could. I made it a point to pass him there! You are going to LOVE this car.

Great deal OP! You did good on both sides of the deal. But Chevy sure has devalued Camaro prices with the 20% off. So anyone selling a used 1LE or S will be very lucky to get more than high 20s for their car. Chevy does not want any excess Camaros in inventory with the CA6 coming up soon. We may see 20% off yet again before the 2016 arrives.

Just remember, although IOM Camaros are the fastest, the black ones look the baddest. Keep it clean. See you around NJ. Atco or NJMP?
