I saw probably 4 today alone. I'm seeing these all over the place it seems.

1 black one @ capital used dealership
1 red one in Cedar Park Firestone on 183
2 - 1 yellow one Cyber Grey at Champion off 183

Does everyone not like these as much as we do?? Maybe they couldn't afford them afterall? Is there something we dont know about? Just kinda weird. I'm loving mine.

input? guesses?

People that got caught up in the excitement and didn't do their homework?

They bought it thinking they could resell it for a profit?

Yeah some folks didn't do their homework and either ended up being more than they could afford or a car they didn't want.

Who knows?! Austin dealerships have been running around with their heads cut off since the release of the Camaro. First NO ONE would sell MSRP, so I order non-local. Then I found a few here and there selling MSRP, I got lucky and landed a ready to go allocation. Now, my car will be here in a month, and all the dealerships that I originally went to and was basically laughed at for wanting MSRP, are selling at MSRP! Now used cars you say? who the hell knows?! these guys are oblivious.

Which dealers in Austin are selling at MSRP now? I was at champion a couple of weeks ago and the 2 used SS they had were $10k over sticker.

I just did an inventory search and it shows 30 2SS models in the Austin area now (or on the way)...Don Hewlett has 16 of them!!

Yeah, went to champion to check out a few last month....way over msrp. Plus most of the sales guys there didn't seem to have a clue about the car. Call Craig Martinez at Henna, he'll set you up with msrp. Tell him Ron with the Avalanche sent ya!

I was down in Austin this past weekend and in the 'Residence Inn' hotel parking garage on 4th street I was staying at, there were not one but two Camaros down there!

Then another 2 more on the way back up to DFW.

Maybe I need to head back to Austin and pick me up one!

Don't plan on buying one here unless you want to spend way over sticker. My buddy @ Maxwell in RR called yesterday to let me know he has a RJT SS Manual on the lot w/ 143 miles. I tell him I will be over after work to look it over and talk numbers. Call him back on the way over to see if it has RS pack and price. He tells me they picked it up for $40k and want $42900.

After looking at it, the car was a 1SS w/ RJT white stripe, sunroof, manual, NON-RS...for $42900. I'll place my order @ Covert Hutto and pay sticker.

Covert Hutto, where my order is, Henna Chev. (Rounkie), and in another thread I saw a guy say he got one for MSRP, but I can't find it now. But yea if you search, a few are emerging. Like I said they laughed at me when I said I wasn't going to pay over MSRP, but I laughed back knowing I could find something. I did, then I got the chance to make a diff. order to get one quicker. I did that. The car will be here next month and I guess I'll need to tell the other dealership I'm giving their order up. Keep looking you will eventually find MSRP+A reasonable wait. If worse comes to worst, order with Classic Chevy @ Sugarland or Grapevine. You get dealt at least a 3-4 (maybe longer) month wait, but at least you know its MSRP and great service.

Sounds like the dealers are buying them off the lots of other dealers to sell for a profit?

It's about to bite them in the ass...they'll lose money on some of these because the demand is going to go down...then what?
