L99 2ss/rs HP Esimate with Bolt ons

Hey everyone,

I have my Kooks LTH on the way and was wondering about a HP estimate with the mods I have so far. I found a local shop that will do a street tune with hp tuners which they say is essentially the same as the dyno tune without actually strapping it down and giving me the exact HP numbers. Here is the list :

. Kooks 1 7/8 LTH catless
. Ported TB
. Rotofab CAI
. Solo catback with J pipes
. HP tuners tune

Also what other mods can I do next besides a cam or forced induction. Or am I tapped out on bolt ons ?

I don't think that HP tuners = a legit dyno tune.

My guess is about 360-380whp.

BTW, that "street tune" will probably be a can tune and that's it. Something similar to plugging in a Diablo Intune and downloading that tune file. I doubt it will be specific to your car.

Just drive a little. Florida Speed and Power (FSP) is in Bradenton, Redline Motorsports is in Ft. Lauderdale, and Lashway Motorsports is in the same area as Redline, right near Pompano Beach. You cant go wrong with any of those shops.

Go to lashway, I have almost the same mods (ARH instead of kooks on the headers, AIRAID instead of rotofab) I'm at 381 with the dyno tune they did for me.

I was so impressed they are doing another $8k worth of work for me later this month. Great people, outstanding customer service, You'll walk away happy and with a dyno slip.

When I had just bolt ons on my L99, I was around at 366rwhp/388TQ. Fastest ET at the track was 12.46 @ 114MPH.

Assume you can do a street tune and not get arrested or in trouble, it is actually better than a dyno tune. It is areal world. All dyno tunes should be verified on the street after the dyno anyways. A dyno doesn't accurately load or put the car in real world conditions. It is a great tool to get it close and most of the time "close enough" but street or track tuning, is the best.

Agreed. mine was dyno tuned and the tune is crap. Doesn't help that my tuner wasn't very knowledgeable. This spring I am having Rhino79 redo my tune with either EFI or HPtuners.
