Lets get a head count and then set up some tables and house rules,etc. No need to get serious....just your ordinary poker game at a buddies house !!!

You may have to work some magic Merc so we can BYOB to the meeting room. Since this is our fourth year, they should be showing some leniency. All other hotels I have played in have been ok with this, cant see why this one will be any different.

Lets see what happens !!!

Wille is going to be busy along with Crude , I've enlisted them in the Saturday route change from Kamloops to Revy and the Sunday cruise.

the day before the drive ill go out and sign the route with camaro5 signs or somethin its close enough to home for me so.... if need be.
we usually stick in a close group so....

We'd be in for poker too (2 of us). We have a fairly large poker set, but have to ask hubby to bring it.....

Agree with a home style tournie, time limit for blinds, maybe 1 rebuy before a certain time, pots for 1, 2 & 3. Depending on the amount of people, I would suggest a number draw for table placement so there's more mingling to get started rather than people sitting with spouses or people they already know!

If there is a cost to use the room, perhaps taking the cost out of the buy in's off the top, and then pots are made up of the difference, so if a deposit or something is required up front, whoever is covering the cost is reimbursed if required?

THIS WILL BE THE CASE IF WE DONT GET THE ROOM FOR FREE....BUT ROOM SHOULD BE INCLUDED.

We have lots of time to prepare this so perhaps someone who is computer savy can keep a head count of poker players and this will determine how many tables. I will research some holdem rules and post em up so we can agree on them and make changes if necessary....as there are lots of variations. Any one else feel free to do the same.

Is there anyway we can do a sign up sheet for this...like a poll....that is easily added and subtracted from when necessary?

I love the way this annual event is evolving.....how long before we do a cross Canada tour....to say.....Newfoundland...lol !!!!

One question though, the email confirmation I received from the Hillcrest Hotel doesn't specify the rate...do you know what the Camaro5 rate should be for that hotel? Or is it a set discount?
