There are many ways to protect the finish of you car. Sealants, coatings, and waxes all offer varying degrees of luster and protection. Proper washing and drying techniques are the key to maintaining the finish of any car. I have tried many products some better than others, I will only say that you should use what you like and use it often to achieve the results you deem acceptable.
As far as my favorite product for protection and shine this one from Pinnacle is hard to beat. Synergy is a hybrid wax/ sealant that applies like a traditional wax. The key is the prep work prior to applying any wax or sealant. Wash with dawn to remove any prior wax or sealant. Then decontaminate by claying the paint. Then use a product like iron x to remove ferrous particles that can't be removed with clay. Then polish to remove paint imperfections. When you paint is corrected then protect it.

Any issues with buffing and waxing the CF piece with a orbital random polisher?

No the exposed CF insert is clear coated treat it like paint. Doctor Beasleys makes a perfect product for polishing it. Or any mild abrasive polish will do the trick.

Hello everyone! First post here. Just got my 2013 black Z. Haven't washed it yet because I've had bad luck in AZ keeping black swirl free.
Can you go through a car wash or is that a recipe for swirls? Hand wash only? Secondly, hand wax, orbital or buffer? Thanks! PS I've had good luck with turtle Wax Black Box |
