One can find the right material for it at a good stainlees steel fabricator
They use those things ( pads ) to kill the boom box effect on sinks
They look like 1/8 or 3/16 thick rubber pads that it's blueded to the not exposed sinks walls
The really works at least on that application
Give it a try

My advice is J-pipes. I've done both. Very little difference covering the inside of my trunk. J-piped did the trick for me. From that point on every time you add at lease 50 more hp your car will get a little louder. I just added another 100 bhp and the drone is back. I'll start by adjusting the length of my J-pipes. Leaving your cats ON will help a lot. I've had mine off, on, off and now on for good.

I agree the jpipes made a big difference but I added the sound deadening a year later and it helped more.

Yep, that is one of them.
There is a lot of good information within that site if you're willing to read objectively.

I wouldn't put peel and seal in my Camaro. In a clunker, maybe but not my Camaro.

Take it from someone who laid a 5/8" thick dynamat pad (designed for soundproofing between floors in homes with home theaters) in his trunk to get rid of drone in my Subaru.

It didn't help, and set me back $150.
My 2002 Camaro with SLP Loud Mouth exhaust was loud with lots of drone. I got myself some Dynamat Extreme and covered the entire trunk, then I applied 5/8 thick Dynamat, and guess what? Drone was reduced by a lot, I would guess by 80%. I now have SLP Loud Mouth 2 and the drone is completely gone, I have shorty headers, CAI, 3 in. Exhaust, so it sounds awesome inside. Nice rumble with no drone, pretty loud outside.

We're mostly a fan of "the drone" (MRT2), it was part of the reason for changing exhausts. But with that said, on long trips we do throw a couple of layers of Harbour Freight movers blankets across the back of the trunk and it helps tone it down a little. My only exhaust complaint is that I cant hear my cold air intake as much anymore ; - )
