If you intend to track the car, then I say no sun roof.

I have had both in 5th gens. I like the sunroof, but my helmet rubs the headliner, and you have to move the seat to make it fit. I am about 6'1, but height is subjective depending on how your body is proportioned. Some may have longer legs or longer torso. I guess it depends on how much time you are going to spend at the track vs cruising the roads.

Recaro's do sit higher than regular leather/cloth seats. I had a 2010 SS/RS with regular leather seats and I had more clearance and i also had to adjust them to sit slightly higher than I do my Recaros.

I bought mine used from a dealer and they had several Camaro's to choose from. I went with the Aqua Blue and the sunroof over an SS without one. No regrets.

I thought about a sunroof when I ordered my car but ultimately decided against it, mostly because I didn't want to add to the cost. 3 years later it doesn't bother me at all that I don't have one. One less thing to worry about leaking or breaking anyway....

Go for the Sunroof... there's just something about it screaming 'style'. Gives the Camaro those extra looks I think...

I wasn't going to order the sunroof but I bought a car off the lot and I'm glad it came with it. Great in the summer.
I'm 6' and the seat can be adjusted so you fit comfortably, unless you have a massive torso and stubby little legs you should be fine

Had one in my V6...was fun but it got in the way when I had my helmet on for track events.

I made sure my ZL1 did not have one.

It WILL be an issue, from a non tall person (5'10"), with the seat as far back and down as I can go and still reach the clutch pedal (and even all the way back to test it out). I'm stuck between the seat and sunroof with a helmet on to the point that it actually hinders my ability to turn my head and look for my next cone when auto crossing.

Glad I wasn't the only one that thought this. Only if you lean to the center console and drive with your head cocked to the side.

My car wouldn't be the same without the sunroof. totally brightens up the interior.

No one, but no one, ever notices the barely noticeable roof mohawk....

I've been here on camaro5 over 6 years- Maybe one person claimed their
factory sunroof or the drains leak.

It's a must have for me. A popular option worth every penny imo.

I wouldn't do it unless you want the car more on the performance side.

But that's just my 2 cents.

My 14 2LT has a sunroof, I like it, also lets more light in the cabin.
