At my current rate of mileage accrual, it will take me 10 years to hit 50k.

It was built to be driven. Don't save it for the next person. I always chuckle when I see owners stress themselves out over keeping the miles low, or worrying about driving it in the rain.

I have 102k worth of great memories in my car. I will probably never sell it, but if I do I will have gotten my monies worth out of it.

+1 Exactly the same way I feel, but after all it is their car and they can do, drive, baby sit it, all they want. I too am gonna drive this thing until the proverbial wheels fall off, then maybe sell it, or keep it maintained and pass it down to my daughter.

I think running a bit higher Cold air pressure seem to keep the car from grabbing them cracks that you speak of . my car is coming up on two years old and I just hit 6200 this sunday .... Maybe I need to drive it more.

2011 with 5000 miles. In 20 years, I'll be surprised if I have 20K on it.

I'm just about hit 10K and I've had it for about 7 months. I had to replace the rear tires at around 5K miles, and the fronts still look good. There's just some wear on the outside.
