Welcome and nice choice in car!
I'd look at a diff service (fluid change) and oil and filter. Check to see if a blower replacement has been done. (Older versions had a spring isolator instead of a solid that could make noise) I assume the car is stock with no mods? Cheers, Chris |

Welcome to the club. One hell of way to start off with a first camaro and a great choice I must say. Get a good mechanic to go over the car and preferably one who knows and loves camaros and let him do the 100% whats overs on it. If you still have the original rubber on it with that many miles on it I would consider this a good sign.

Welcome Justin. The ZL1 is a very solid car and can handle a lot of abuse. You are doing the right thing so take your time, make sure everything is up to snuff, get some new tires, etc, and you will be amazed at what this car can do.

with the question of maintenance there isn't a whole lot to worry about except oil changes and possibly making sure the rear end fluid has been changed as well. Getting warranty records may be important as well as one of the other members responded. Also, you can check the Carfax to see if the car has never been in an accident.

Gld to see you came to The Bowtie. I used to have some awesome races in SCCA in Super Stock against Madza RX-7 R1s. I had a C4 Vette and my sidekick had a ZR-1. I'm glad they didnt put 20Bs in those things that would have been problematic. I love ZL1, I actually traded a 2012 Grand Sport to get it.
There is a wealth of knowledge on these boards. I've been at this since LS1 was the new thing, but the ZL1 got me re-invigorated
