Used Hell Cats at Chevy dealer already

[QUOTE=Splitter;8326074]Does your wife have a nice cushy life insurance policy? I would never understand why I'd give someone that meant more to me than the world a rocket of a car like that. Unless you were looking to cash in, of course.[QUOTE=Splitter;8326074]

Hahahaha my wife can drive bud! She has owned 3 corvettes and I'm not one bit worried about her having a car with that amount of horsepower! Besides that if my wife wants something 99% of the time she gets it! We are both car enthusiasts and enjoy the cars we have and are building even more!

Seen my first Hellcat yesterday at the Autoshow. I was very dissappointed. I thought the Charger looked better than the Challenger. The only way I knew it was a Hellcat was the badging, just thought it was another SRT.

I saw one in a parking lot, thought it was just another Challenger. Had to look close. Not very visual.

Hellcat at a local car show

I saw this one (Sublime Green Auto) at a local indoor car show recently. I couldn't believe he drove it - the weather was in the 30's with a rainy/snow mix. The interior pic is a little fuzzy but you can see that the floor mat was muddy.

Not sure if this vid will transfer - it's the green HC leaving the indoor car show.

The Hellcat kicks solid ass on the street - where we all drive 99% of the time! A 100% stock Hellcat in the hands of a capable driver will show its tail lights to every stock ZL1 with an equal driver - every time. Auto or manual. Period.

You can deny, deny, deny all you want - it is the plain unvarnished truth. The Hellcat wasn't designed to run the Ring or make short work of Laguna Seca - it's an unholy street and strip terror, plain and simple.

AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

We can smugly laugh at the 275s ('We have 305's!'), we can laugh at the styling ('It looks so OLD!'), we can laugh at anything we want to laugh at ('Oh, it's a DODGE!') all of which is ridiculous... but let's be real - the Hellcat is a faster, more powerful car. Sure, we can buy mods and get the same horsepower or more - but we're talking off the showroom floor guys.

Like someone else said - sit down in the new Challenger interior and you will be amazed at how nice it is. And since when is a car with the cajones that the Hellcat packs NOT a PERFORMANCE CAR?

Are we going to argue the 'I paid less', 'I have this option', or especially the 'They are paying over sticker!?' statement? Remember when the ZL1s came out and buyers were PAYING OVER STICKER to get one? Let's not laugh at the same things some people who own a ZL1 did. If you want it and you have the money and you don't mind getting screwed over by a dealer, buy it. It's YOUR money.

There will always be a faster car so get used to the idea. Enjoy the ZL1 for what it does and what it does, it does well.

We just look really, REALLY petty and jealous to not appreciate the Hellcat for what it is.

Ok, I will step down off the soap box now. Where's the tylenol?
Well said. Personally I would love to have a Hellcat parked next to my ZL1 in the garage. Family sedan (charger) with 707hp. Awesome.

According to the car fax, both were purchased at auction, Denooyer does a lot of this, most dealers do, but they do a lot more. One from Missouri and one from New Jersey. They did the same with the new style Tahoes they had more in their used inventory over the summer than in new.

Well my wife's Charger Hellcat came in yesterday and this thing is absolutely stunning! I am away at work and have not seen it in person yet but my wife described it as "Perfect" so I can live with that! When I get back home and take it for a drive I'll make sure to post up my thoughts on the car. For now here are a few pics.......Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1427894727.597697.jpg

As long as there are idiots out there willing to pay dealer prices...seems the novelty is starting to wear out.

Believe it or not I got mine for 5k over MSRP when most others are getting them at 10-15k over! So am I an idiot or just a car enthusiast that actually made a decent decision and was lucky enough to have one of the first Hellcat chargers off the lot??? I dunno you tell me.

It's your money - spend it how you want. Given the performance of that car the price is a bargain.

I will never pay over MSRP again (I paid over MSRP for an '87 Buick GNX in 1987) but that is just my position and it only applies to me.

What you are comfortable with is your business. And THAT Hellcat Charger is one sharp car.

Again - congratulations!
