What Gas Stations do you use?
So on my way home for the Easter weekend I decided to take my car. On the way down I hit a Gas Station that looked pretty new and is one of the Nations well known Gas Supplier(Shell) . Long Story short their gas was crap, causing the Z not to act right. I put in some sea-foam from Advance to help remove whatever moister that was most likely in it. From that point I starting looking around the area I lived in and decided to find a Sunco with some race fuel. I picked up 5 gallons of 100 octane (unleaded of course) and topped it off with 93. Did a fuse pull (changed out my CAI from Cold air Inductions to Rotofab, which I know will not make really any noticeable differences just wanted a different CAI for the looks). Lets just say this, the car literally felt like it was on steroids! Definitely cleared out what ever crap was in the tank and made a very noticeable difference in response and power. It literally feels like night and day! In all something bad ended up turning into a little learning experience for me. What I would like to ask is what Gas stations on you guys like to use when filling up the Zs. I know when I was younger it seems Amoco (now BP) was always a good one, however I'm curious to see what you guys prefer to fill up with.

+1 but Shell as second choice if I must
I've driven two car from new to 150k miles running gas only from these two brands and have never had a fuel related issue

I buy gas from the gas stations that have the least amount of pumps out of order.
In my area, Shell sucks, Alltown Mobil is good, Hess is good, Shell in next town is good, Cumby's is good. It may only be a sixxer, but I've always put 93 in. edit: didn't realize this was in the ZL1 forum. derp |

Good to know, the Shell by my house has seemed to always be good. I do wish there were more Mobil 1s around VA, but it seems to be Shells and Sunoco's. I would think with Sunoco being a big sponsor for NASCAR race fuels they would carry that over to their regular fuels.

I don't worry about top Tier, I'm more concerned with getting fuel at a high volume station.

I have done work at fuel terminals and have seen many different brand fuel trucks come in and get gas from the same tanks. Each company has their own fuel additive tank there and the fuel is blended as they fill their trucks. Same gas different additives.

I had another tuner recommend Chevron. He claimed he saw less knock with Chevron. Unfortunately, the closest Chevron to me is 100 miles away so Shell is what goes in my car.

For us, I try to pick stations I see that are busy, the high turn over means as long as they have a good delivery system/filters, there is less likely to be crud in it. For here, theres a Mobil Station and than one thats a bit of a drive for us, but it is used a ton by truckers, so we go there too. Theres a Hess station here thats garbage, our car ran soo bad on their fuel it was nuts.
