That's why I suggested the possibility of a stuck button. If it is constantly giving off a "lock" signal, no other signals will be able to reach the car. My suggestion was to have your key OUTSIDE the range of the car (or off with the battery removed) to eliminate the possibility of a bad remote.

It looks like you're on the right path with the ignition though. Good luck.

Ya I reread what u said. I misread what you wrote. I tried that took the battery out the remote and even still. I'm pretty sure it's the ignition switch now.
