Solo high flow cats question
Hello, I'm thinking about buying some solo high flow cats off a member here, but was told by someone who is very knowledgable in camaros that they will eventually throw codes in a few months. Is this partly true? I'm not sure if I want to risk it, but if this hasn't happened (with correct install) I'm all for it. Anyone had them for 1 year +? Btw I have the L99.

Some people have experienced rear O2 sensor codes with the solo's but most have not.
I have JBAs which everyone said would throw codes, and they did. I added: http://www.bigdaddiesgarage.com/straight-cel-fix.html And no more codes. I believe Solo HF cats come with an extender like this which explains the rarity of Solo's throwing codes. I hope this helped! |

I have the 2011 l99 ..had the solos for 2 years with no codes. Is it the 2013 and newer cars having trouble with codes?

I got the JBA's, but I also read enough about them to get the O2 extenders at the same time prior to installation. No CEL's except that there was an exhaust leak where the headers met the mids on the passenger side due to the sub-par gaskets provided with their package. Once better gaskets were installed, that was that.
Here's a pic, very well made, added a good amount of power, and improved the exhaust tone note. Well worth the purchase; |

Spec, since you seem like a guy who appreciates being prepared, where did you get the "good" gaskets so that someone else might be prepared before HFC purchase?

So, the GM gasket you link there is the same one that comes with the stock converter new? And it fits on the JBAs just as it would an OEM cat?
