I have opposite problem; burnouts happen with traction control on. It's a never ending fight- traction with added HP.

I have an 14 auto and I did my first burnout ever right before i did my tire change in the parking lot . The tire store manager let me do it right out front. It was so much fun i had been dying to do it and i wont be able to do it again until next year when i buy my next set of tires. When i did the burn out i turned off tc and stabilitrak and shortly afterwards i got some cel saying service stabil track and also power steering pump. After getting the tires changed and turning off the car for a minute or two they went away and i haven't seen them since and that was last week. The car drives fine i am just wondering why the steering pump light came on ?

I'll be 54 next month. I LOVE burnouts. Only done a few in my 5 month old M6 SS. Tires are so expensive these days. Hell, I rarely go past 3500 RPM's lol... But I've had many F body cars and other Hot Rods in my day and have smoked off many miles of rubber. All in the name of fun!

Feel much the same way, I know I can do it, just chose not to. damn tires are expensive, might do one before I go to the tire shop for the next set of pirelli's.

My guess would be that due to the high sticker price of an SS the majority of owners are not in their 20's and 30's. And also guess most LT owners are, I know I could not afford one when I was younger, plus it's not a family car.

TC off, put in drive, stomp gas, watch speedo go to 150 mph. John Force mode complete.

I'm going on 62 and I lit 'em up a couple weeks ago... just because. I love a good burnout. I rarely do it, due to the ridiculous cost of tires these days, but back when you could buy used or recapped tires for $10-$20 the air was often full of smoke and the smell of burnt rubber.

I'm 45 and take my 5 year old daughter out to do donuts once a week.
My car doesn't look like the kind of car a dude my age would drive- that's why I like it. Nothing better than the smell of tire smoke though.
