Here is what it probably is. There is a baffle that fits between the frame and the fender. It is there to black the flow of air passing throught the panel. It had probably fallen off and now the wind is passing through cause the whistle noise you are hearing.

I had my car on a lift and found it hanging from the bottom of the car. One of these days I will pull the fender liner and see if I can get to the panel and glue it back.

For now I live with the whistle.

This is where it is located.

I'm amused by your neighbors Beamers in the backdrop starring your Gen5 down.

Look at window pillars. Also check the window seal. Best way to do that is with a BUNCH of water all at once. Point the hose directly at the edge of the window and spray away. If there is any condensation on the inside you have the problem.

Also, look at you door lines and make sure your seams are not stickint out even a little.

One last thing, check the wheel skirts and make sure they are not loose.

Thanks for yalls help. I've decided that it is almost impossible to describe this noise I'm hearing. i know I said it sounded like a whistling, but it is not from the wind, since I have heard the sound while I'm stopped. I think it has something to do with my A/C; possibly a flap opening and closing and being squeaky. I, too, am stumped. Its just funny sounding. Almost sounds like this

. Doesn't really sound like it is coming from the outside of the car, now that I think of it.

Do you notice the noise only when pressing on the gas at a certain rpm range? I have a whistling ~2000rpm, but only if i press the gas, stops as soon as i release the pedal. For this reason i doubt mine is from headlights or mirrors being it only does it when foot is on the gas.

There is actually an article about this in Techlink, an online publication GM puts out for dealer techs. I don't have a link but I remember the article said that while the sound seems to come from the A pillar area the real source is a gap around the headlight trim. The fix was a small bead of silicone.

OK, found the link.

Considering the thread is from 2012, I'm gonna say that link isn't relevant.
