I've got quad tips as well. Taking off your stock rear diffuser is a major PITA, RE always remember that WD-40 is your friend. If you decide to go this route then keep in mind also that you have to have your exhaust redone. You can't just stick quad tips on because they won't be aligned properly with the diffuser. But it looks so damn good when it's done.

My pics will explain everything you want to know...
If no, basically, they need to cut the axle back and enlarge a little bit the pipe to push it more inside to make the pipes centered, in order to have the quad tips centered and welded. Good luck!! |

The first pic from hzisfrom1994 shows exactly what I'm talking about. Any "exhaust kit" for the V6 is going to be positioned such that the exhaust lets out to fit the stock V6 diffuser. The 1LE/NPP diffuser extends inwards from the position of the stock exhaust, not equally in both directions. So you can put on the 1LE/NPP diffuser and then slap on some dual tips, because it won't be aligned.
So if you want, for example, Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust then you need to buy only the mufflers from the flowmaster website and then take'm to an exhaust shop. |
