Great article; thanks! Think it's time to order this kit, just in case. I like removing any weak links in the chain...

It's not going to be the fluid or reservoir It was cold and only a short run. It may be the spring.

Were you running high RPM's when it was happening?

Yes it could have been close. But did not hit rev limiter. It was odd I could not pull it up but could after starting in gear. Looks like a mechanical issue. It does act like the issue not leeting fluid return like the article says. Nothing was close to being hot at all, it was one short 50 second run. The clutch is engaged when the pedal stuck to the floor.

Your spring has a warm up and cool down period? It's a fluid or hydraulic issue, springs don't stop and start working.

We use the Motul RBF600 in everything from street cars to full race applications. It works very well, especially for the price.

Could it be that the slave or hydraulic throw out bearing is intermittenly seizing?
I see that folks are replacing the plastic bearing retainer with one made of steel. I have seen pics of this plastic part melted and contourted. Check out Quater Master
Part # 730030.

I would say this is quite the possibility.

Remember that Skylane's car is basically brand new and hasn't been abused as far as I have read. Melted bearing retainers and such probably wouldn't happen in a pampered car like his. Anything is possible but those scenarios are really stretching it...
