I got to C&C at 7:35 and still missed the cut off. Geeze! Gotta get there earlier and earlier.

Looks like June 7th is a GM car show at State fair grounds, last year was a good show.

Hey guys, I just got some new wheels/tires and the shop I usually get all my work done at was having a difficult time putting them on today.. so I'm in search of a new place to get the job done. I know some of you must have aftermarket wheels.. Any good shop recommendations you could give me? I'm in the south metro.

What do you mean, "couldn't get them to fit?"

What are the specs on the wheels?

I was told by Discount Tire today, and a different shop yesterday, that the wheel hubs were too small to fit the hubs on the car. Both the vendor and the wheel manufacturer swear all that needs to be done is to sand some of the excess paint/clear coat off the hub. That, or there could be rust build up on the car's hub that needs to be sanded. Meanwhile, the guy at Discount Tire told me the difference was so great that the wheel would have to be MILLED out. Obviously, I don't want to do that but I'm not sure who to believe at this point.

I can't seem to find any posts or threads where anyone has had the same issues with these wheels (Forgestar).

I think at this point I'd return the wheels and get something else at a tire dealership that knows they are going to fit your car I got my wheels from discount tire and they fit perfect. offset and the rest.

Meh, I think returning them is kind of out of the question at this point. I ordered them from a vendor on here so I didn't think fitment would be a problem. I found a shop that seemed confident that they could get them to fit properly. We'll see I guess.

Your MRR 228s do look very good on your car though! Is your car lowered at all?

Hit that vendor up, that's why they are here. If things are fitting right they will make it right. Don't struggle when then vendors are generally really good about those things.
