Brake size upgrade

Hi everyone, this will be my first post here! I have gotten some excellent advice reading others posts, and want to thank everyone in advance for your help!

I have a 2013 ls (v6) and have upgraded the rims to some 20" staggered ZL1 replicas, I am trying to find some good/inexpensive (I know there will be a balance) upgrade parts. Trying to find out how big I can go with the rotors, and what I will need as far as the calipers. Don't know if there will be issues with mounting them to the original bracket etc. I am looking for drilled/slotted rotors. I am looking partly for some performance, but mostly for looks. Not worried about having a "Brembo" logo showing as I will be painting them to match my car anyhow. I drive it pretty hard for street driving, but don't do any real racing with it. I don't want to take any kind of chances cracking a rotor etc. though.

I would at least recommend doing the SS brembos. Some i know have done the upgraded rotors, pads, and lines for their V6 but are upgrading to the SS brakes now.

The standard SS Brembo set up would be fantastic on a V6 you can probably pull it off for somewhere between $1000 and $1500. It should be more than enough.

The ZL1 upgrade would be over kill at your power levels but it would look brilliant...

I'd go with the SS Brembo Package and some good rotors. You can probably find some take offs on the forum for a good price. I would steer clear of the drilled rotors bump dimpled and slotted or slotted are good. Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions.

Kind regards,

some good rotors.
i.e. the stock ones from the ss, do not waste your $$$ on what rotors LOOK like....unless they were $800+ each, those holes and slots are just "pretty" and actually make the rotors weaker.
