Do not use carb cleaner!! Use CRC Mass Airflow Cleaner. It is a soft solvent formulated exactly for this purpose.

Picked some up today. I'm debating on wether or not to do it right now. I'm about to order a CAI so I'm thinking about just doing it then.

I'm at 35k so I opted to do this after reading this post... my maf was spotless when i took it out.
 oh well. at least now i have a can for the future.
