What do the vendors suggest next for occasional track day with camaro club!

I want to win! LOL Or at least the other driver beat me not the car Or someone with experience to take my car out and whoop everyone!

2010 ss camaro

Mods so far..

Rear

2015 Complete 1Le rear end with Spohn and BMR
1. Upper control Arms bushings Derlin
2. Spohn Rear Trailing Arms Pair w/ Del-Sphere Joint RED
3. Spohn Rear Toe Links Pair w/ Del Sphere Joint RED
4. Craddle/subframe Bushings BMR poly
5. BMR Suspension BK006, Bushing Kit, Rear Trailing Arm, Outer
5. 1le swaybar and springs and shocks

Front:

1le shocks
BMR end links
Stock sway bar drilled to accept larger bolt from endlinks
bushing inserts that go between stock bushings front lower control arms.

20 X 10 285 35 20 GY g2
20 X 11 305 35 20 GY g2

Let me state that I did all the mods except the front 1 le shock and it felt so so good really good handled great.. then I did the 1le shocks up front and it lost a lot of that good feeling..

I tried every which way to get the stock bar out with out raising motor, I ran out of time so I just drilled the stock swaybars..

I had a friend with an electric ps pump on a 2014 and the bitch went right in... dam u 2010..

I'd like to know will lowering springs get the job done? I really want coil overs but money is short now..

I did all these mods in 1 day..

Rear

  1. 2015 Complete 1Le rear end with Spohn and BMR upgrades
  2. Upper control Arms bushings Derlin
  3. Spohn Rear Trailing Arms Pair w/ Del-Sphere Joint RED
  4. Spohn Rear Toe Links Pair w/ Del Sphere Joint RED
  5. Craddle/subframe Bushings BMR poly
  6. BMR Suspension BK006, Bushing Kit, Rear Trailing Arm, Outer
  7. 1le swaybar and springs and shocks attached to the new craddle
Front:

  1. BMR end links
  2. Stock sway bar drilled to accept larger bolt from endlinks
  3. bushing inserts that go between stock bushings front lower control arms.
So I bought a 2015 1le complete rear end off ebay for 1400.00 got the whole thing.. all I did was attache my emergency cable and calipers and driveshaft.

while the new cradle was on the floor I did all the rear upgrades listed of course the 1le parts where on it all ready since it was a complete 1le craddle.

To the front I did what you see listed as well, The dealer is down the street my friend works for GM performance parts in my area he mentioned he had a 1le front sway that I could try if I wanted.

So I tried and tried to get the stock ss bar to slide out, I have the powersteering pump style front rack.. no matter how I turned it, I could not get it out. I have a lift at work with tires off I couldn't get it off. but, last week a another friend got the 1le bar for his 2013, he had the electric power steering and I got his off and changed in 20 min.. I wrestled with mine for 1 hr and gave up, didn't want to mess with raising the motor.

I ran out of time screwing with the swaybar so I drilled the 2010 hole to accept BMR's endlinks. I was unable to change the front struts or shocks cause it took to long messing with getting the swaybar off... so now I drove the car around for 1 week with stock ss shocks on front and all the rest of the parts I listed.

The car handled awesome.. really awesome I could now keep up with my friend in his 2013 1le in corners and that's with crappy 21 inch tires. It felt like it was gripping good like I was in control.

So, I change the front SS shocks to the 1le shocks.. it feels worse than when I had ss shocks but still better than not modding the whole car. Its hard to explain but it feels back to scary on corners and if you move the steering wheel back n forth like your warming tires it feels bouncy like a boat. That wasn't present with old ss shocks..

Can you follow that? Or did I confuse you more..

Honestly, you're handling is probably better with the SS bar staying up front. If the balance is good with what you have understeer/oversteer wise, then I would not add a 1LE bar to the front. This is the setup I currently have and the only thing I see myself doing at this point might be aftermarket bars front/back.

I can't really answer why the 1LE struts would bounce a lot unless they're just bad.

Did you get an alignment after the front strut upgrade?

You have a substantial list. Figure out if anything is bent or broken, align the car and Driver experience is what I would list. You have a big list of mods. No reason you shouldn't be up with the fastest street cars on any given day.

Yes, aligned after I installed I had the align shop double check my work. The guy who aligned it, has the 925 plus rear wheel hp stock bottom end camaro.. jrod He would of definitely told me " You screwed up" if something was off or broken. I had put on phadth lowering springs on a buddys car and one bolt on the rear was facing the wrong direction.. not lose, and not eccentric or anything just pointed wrong direction and I think my friend is the one that started the bolt I just tightened.

Like i said it felt better til I did the 1le front shocks. Its still better than stock.

to me it feels like the shocks are to aggressive or really stiff even though it has that boat feeling. I may be crazy but it also seems like its a tad higher..figured it would settle a little since there new, and that the old shock where worn but it shouldn't make a difference since the springs control ride height.. Correct?

A lot of people don't realize that brakes play a big part in tracking too!

Here is write up of one of our customers who upgraded his brake system on his ZL1...

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=404271

I'm not saying for you to get our big brake kit but if you have a good brake set up and the confidence in your brakes, you can take the corners a lot deeper.

1. Are you talking about ride quality or handling?

2. Did you time the bushings or are they all replaced with free spinning urethane / greased ferules?

FYI:

Bushing Timing

Step 1. Lift the car on a two post lift and raise it.

Step 2. Loosen the following bolts/nuts:
Front:
---Inner Control Arm Bushing
---Inner Radius Rod
Rear:
---Trailing Arm Bushings (both ends)
---Toe Rod Bushings (both ends)
---Lower Control Arm Bushings (Inner)
---Upper Control Arm Bushings (Rearward)
---Lower Strut Bushings

Step 3.
Lower the car and drive it around the parking lot SLOWLY and on to the alignment lift.

Step 4.
With the weight of the car on the wheels tighten all of the nuts/bolts to spec.

Step 5.
Align the car at the new ride height.

Hmmm..

Purchased complete 1le craddle

while on floor I changed did the following...

Upper control arms w BMR brackets with poly urethene bushing used the Mobile grease synthetic grease as recommended. Re-torqued to specs.

Heated up knocked out sub frame bushings installed new bushings greased well.

put car on lift removed removed exhaust, drive shaft, and calipers.

lowered car put stands under old cradle removed 4 big bolts from subframe raised car cradle out..

placed new 1le cradle under rear lowered car put the bushings and spacers in and 4 big bolts tightened the hell out of them torqued to 200 something.

Car back in air marked toe rods very good to get eccentric bolt back perfectly
took off lower control arms
heated old bushing removed bushing
installed new poly bushing w a lot of grease
installed new lower control arms
put brakes and drive shaft back on
Rear finished

front..

un bolt sway bar and end links
tried for hours to remove
gave up and drilled swaybars to accept BMR end links

Test drove car... AMAZING felt incredible

next weekend..

installed new front 1le shock didn't drive as good to me...

Recommended alignment shop.. got it aligned.. Felt better but as good as when it had ss shocks, car drives straight no pull.. handles better than stock but not like it did when it had SS shocks on front.

All bolts were torque to spec in air not on ground.

I made sure to tell jrod check over my work.

I'm wondering if I need better front sway now?
Also thinking about lowering it..
