OBD-II-connected performance software can estimate horsepower, torque, 0-60 times, etc. Buy a OBD reader, buy an app, plug it in, and see what it tells you.

The only people that don't desire a Z/28 are the ones that have never driven one... I owned a 2015 1LE before my 2015 Z/28 and have driven a 2014 ZL1. While both of the other Camaros are great, they don't hold a candle to the Z/28. Neither does a Z51 Stingray.

All the talk about the Z/28 being bad on the street is bogus. It is no worse than my bone-stock C6 Z06 was and only very slightly more harsh than my stock 1LE was..

No knock against the guys that paid full retail, but it wasn't a great value to ME at $75K. However, there isn't a more fun, rare, or exciting car in the world for $60K. If you can get a new one in the $60K-65K range, you should snag one while you still can.

Are they expensive? Yes! Are they worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!!

Cosmetically, a Z28 is going to get dinged up if taken to the track (and even if not on track but driven a lot). Those Trofeos throw up a ton of debris and the rear gills/fender flares catch the brunt of it. The front splitter is cheap so don't worry about that if it's dinged up.

If it's going to be primarily a garage queen/weekend C&C car, I'd probably stay away from a CTF car. I'd go new and pamper it. If you're going to track the heck out of it, it won't matter if you buy new or not after a year or so from a value standpoint. The next buyer will presume it's been driven hard and will "value" it accordingly. If it's the red one I'm thinking of, a lot of those miles are highway miles. They drove it to St Pete from MI for the Gran Prix in 2014 on street tires.

The only really expensive "consumable" are the rotors if abused a lot on the track. I'm guessing this car hasn't seen enough track time to warrant new rotors, but a good inspection should clear that issue up..

My biggest concern with these particular one's is that they were driven by MANY different people, with a wide range of ablility. Lot's of folks with far more ego than skill..general lack of treating it like someone who shelled out big bucks for one. Let's say you snagged this one for low fifties-smoking deal right? . Then you need a gearbox at 10k because the hack that giggled to his buddy when he ground the gears off at a press event didn't care, or a popped motor at 15k because the journalist at the track ride and drive locked up the rear end downshifting from fifth to second, pegging the rev limiter, then blowing the upshift from 2nd to third on the next lap, and again, and again. It's one of those deals where price is tempting, but you are going to Vegas because there are quite a few things that do not meet the eye. Yes, could have been all fwy miles, feel lucky? You can probably get one in the wrapper with full warranty for not much more later this year, and sleep very well. JMHO

Don't know if it is still available. Super low miles, not a CTF car.

Or this one super cheap (but I think no a/c).

Fact of the matter is, what is affordable and will make you happy. Should you be scared off by a CTF car, hell no, should you go over the car, on a lift maybe, yes. But at the end of the day if the Recaro fit, sit in it and drive that bad ass car home.

I cannot agree more with this statement. After having a 2006 Lotus Exile and a 2013 ZL1 Vert, the Z28 is bar none the greatest car I have ever owned/driven (not including a sprint car). Just finished putting 800 break in miles on her in a week and I have not even really ran the car yet. The handling is on par with the Lotus with 2.5 times the power....

Good luck finding one, but they can be had new for around $62k. Find a 2014 they are the same car and better incentives for the dealers.

Being in law enforcement and having a sec. job, plus having a little boy... it takes a toll on your every day stuff.

They wont hold the car more then 2 days.

Just sucks that its 12 hrs away.
