You appear to be a manufacturer.

Is buying a donor car and stripping it of everything including paint cheaper than a BIW?

It depends on the condition of the donor car and what we are planning to reuse. Harnesses, sub-frames, arms computers and such add up. It can be cheaper. If the goal is a pro-touring style street legal build / pseudo race car it has to be a donor car to get a VIN.

GM PN 19243374 runs about $7,400 with shipping

If we are doing carbon panels, we still end up tossing much of the BIW.

BTW, the 60 bodies that went to Riley to be built into race cars all went to the same stripper I just used. The stripper told me they had seal sealer and sound proofing which didn't make much sense. Maybe they were before the BIW was available?

I was expecting 50 lbs lighter. The R being 3650 puts the GT350 close to 3800 lbs.
