Should I ask them this? I think Carrie said that their initial allocations were already given. Hence the 8 - 16 week wait?

It is important to know. The initial allocation numbers were guide number from GM for how many Camaros each dealership could expect to receive through Q3 of 2009. If Covert has already sold that many and no one cancels their order, your chances of getting your car before October are much lower.

Not all dealers pre-sold their initial allocation and will be able to use that to order lot cars. You may find yourself in the same boat as many of us here and see dealers selling cars directly off the lot while you wait for your order to be built.

Just a thought....

Good to know. I just got off the phone with her and she did say their initial allocation of 20 just cleared and they are good for 1-2 allocations per week now. If I have to wait, I'll wait. My wife was gonna make we wait until next year anyway.

Thanks again.
