I don't think anyone was calling the op a liar or that he didn't own the car, just that there must be more to the story, ie, where did the oil all go to? How did the engine blow? etc.

im thinking the kid caused the oil leak showing off and cleaned it up. There's no oil in the car so thats why theres no very noticeable oil leak. Sound like the op is not a mechanic so might not have notice a small leak. I would have put oil in it befor I could even get to a computer though. Nothing would have been more important as it only takes a few minutes. Hes not replying to people calling him a troll because there's no winning that. There's no proof that can be put on the internet. Op did you put oil in it?

Got word late this evening that my oil pan had a lot of metal pieces in it and that a rod bearing let loose from what the service advisor told me and yes it will be covered under warranty. Should have the car back next week and I will be trading it for either a gtr,hellcat charger or c7 zo6. Didn't really have time to read all of the negativity but I dont really care about what people say about me. This is just a forum and a lot of these guys and gals that make slick comments are only brave enough to do it in the comfort of there own home behind a computer screen.

I dont see why anyone is giving you crap for leaving the keys there, I wouldve left the keys and trusted my nephew as well. Pretty sad considering your plans to take him under your wing and hwith the business.
