Can confirm this. Recently purchased my camaro used with 21k miles. Car Fax had no records of the rear bumper being replaced. Found an invoice from a Chevy dealership in the glove box after purchasing for a full bumper replacement. Everything lines up and color matches so I'm not too upset I guess.

I agree that Carfax is not the end all be all. I like it basically because you can track ownership and mileage. The SS I bought had a an accident reported on it. It said minor damage. So far, I am yet to find any indication of a repair. drives straight, looks straight, no issues at all.

Fact is, in the used car world, there are a lot of cars that might have an accident reported. Carfax gives no details. It could be anything from scratch repair to structural frame repair, who knows? about all Carfax will tell you, of use, is if it has ever had a salvage title, meaning, totaled.

Congrats on the Challenger, definitely a nice car.

But, honestly, to trash the car you've loved and driven for nearly two years simply because you found out she wasn't a body shop virgin, by a salesman, none the less, is a bit of an over reaction. Heck, it could've been a rock chip repair, or paintless hail dent repair. Anything that an insurance company pays money out for can appear on a carfax.

I understand you might think this was a jerk reaction, but to me it was getting out of a situation while my car had value, plus to be honest the SRT is a much superior car in so many ways. I think the 2016 camaro will probably even the playing field with the SRT, and I hope it does, I plan on looking real hard at them it 2017 for a possible purchase.

Belonging to true delta and reporting in my repairs..... None, dodges usually have more problems than Fords or Chevys just a fact... my mom used to always get dodges and be disappointed, one had a bad float in the gas tank brand new and she wanted to take me for a ride only to find.... no gas, the next one the heads cracked and they flew someone in from out of state to weld the heads and charged her on her year old car.... Sure they were smaller cars, but she had bad after bad with dodge until she went Chevy like me. Not that you will have problems but you can enroll or check true delta for reliability issues with the chargers and I do not believe they have a challenger section...? and yes chargers have more repairs than mustangs, and mustangs have more repairs than Camaros usually as it tracks year by years.

There is no doubt for a family sporty driver the Challenger is a sweet looking car with a larger interior than its competitors and that's nice to have that comfort for the long haul. How ever to the person who quoted that the SRT8 challenger is faster than the 5.0 which I hate the engine, or the Camaro they are exactly wrong, the challenger weighs a lot more than both and yes they have upped the h.p. ratings over time and that's because they just put in more aggressive cams/timing to make up the difference in the new output numbers because face it they are rarer, sell less versus the competition, and are heavier/bigger. Much as back in the day no one was driving a general Lee and pretending it was a light and nimble. Many do not even know the IRS that's been on the Challenger is on the Challenger, so it does have pretty good handling even for being so heavy.

We all like to think we make good informed decisions, and that's part of our EGO yet truly crunching the numbers you got a Challenger out of a messed up Camaro bought used and wrecked and managed to salvage what value you could and moved to a more family friendly car which at a older age is nice.

from zero to sixty specs:

SRT 392 CoupeRWD8A4.7 sec12.8 sec @ 106 mphMotor Week
the Scat pack a r/t is faster usually than the srt 8 because its made .....lighter?
And depending on who reports it the race is very close between the Camaro and the Mustang to the point where they all could be about exactly the same SPECS, how ever they usually have a faster 0-60 due to the weight factor.

I just hope in the future with dodge being owned by Fiat now they do not scrap all the gains they have made into making dodge cars great performers again, yet know with impending EPA doom and gloom the new CAFE standards are to be out in 2017 and that's a downsizing that's going to grab us motorheads by the scrote.... OS be glad you got one while you can, and do not think so much as to the speed as to the luxury as these new muscle cars they have been cranking out make my old school heavy Chevys a -5LS....lol I used to strip out the A/C, ditch anything....lol now I love the bells and whistle and go from there. I do look forward to what they may make someday, yet hope it is not like the Dart..... And you likely would have loved the Camaro more had it not been used and abused....

I hear you, but your times are not for the 2015 model, the 2015 SRT 0-60 4.2 sec quarter mile 12.2 with A8 transmission with drag radials 12-11.8 sec reported stock!! and top speed of 183 MPH I don't care how heavy it is that's serious power, and as far as warranty 5 years 100,000 miles, all cars have their share of issues. My 2012 SS had CAI ported TB headers and a tune and was not faster then this car, I know I have driven them both, I am not gonna bash Camaro's that's not me I love them, but until you drive other cars for yourself opinions are just that.

Well , take that as a lesson learned , ripple number one , never ever believe the word from a car sales person , but off course there is an exception
( BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet )

And since you are a football coach , take a minute or two and explain the true world out there , since they soon will be on the market for a car

Your right!!! As a coach, football is a tool and we use it to teach hard work good decision making and teamwork, it all applies to real life. Make good decisions good things happen, make bad decisions and your life can go bad quickly and end up dead or in Jail. I am also in Law Enforcement as well. I see kids that need love and attention getting it from the wrong place, Gangs ect ect!! keep them busy and working hard.
